Please do not turn this thread/topic into another school board free-for-all. I vote to say "thanks" to each and every person involved with honoring the living past coaches of PN-G. It was great to see pictures of the former Chiefs of the Tribe on www.pngindians.com and this message board. The former coaches all have differnt W-L records, but they all represented PN-G well...each one leaving his mark on The Reservation...each one preserved the values of PN-G, i.e., Honor, Pride, and Tradition. Doug Ethridge is a legend among Texas high school football coaches, athletic directors, and administrators. Ken Watson, Butch Troy, Tim Owen, and Matt Burnett are all examples of what makes PN-G great. They all cared enough to come back to PN-G. Do not tear down this thread with school board politics. Look at the pictures of those PN-G greats and admire what they did at The Reservation. To all of those that had a hand in honoring Coaches Watson, Ethridge, Troy, Owen, and Burnett, whether it be the school board, the administration, teachers, volunteers, etc., thanks and a job well done. Thanks to Coaches Watson, Ethridge, Troy, Owen, and Burnett for coming back to PN-G...and thanks to their families who drove them from miles away so PN-G fans could say thanks...I bet it's been awhile since Doug Ethridge had his blood pumping to the sounds of Cherokee...a sound that his teams caused to be blared out loud and clear in the Astrodome, Rice Stadium, Texas Stadium, and at stadiums all over SETX and Houston.

If you volunteer at games for concessions, security, ticket takers, selling programs, keeping bathrooms cleans, etc., many thanks. To all the school board members, i.e., Darren McCutcheon and Lana Parker, thanks for giving photographers access to the former coaches before the game and allowing pictures to be taken from the pressbox. To all the school board members and PN-GISD employees who contribute to www.pngindians.com by linking content, pictures, fundraising, etc., thanks. This out-of-town alumnus appreciates the opportunity to stay in touch with PN-G.

Go Indians. Peace.

The end.

Tooting Mrs. Parker's horn? Not up for re-election? so is that why you all are tooting Darren's horn? I can assure you Mrs. Parker will get re elected! She is being a responisble board member and not being influenced
by the public on her decison like some on the board. We were in a deficit before she was elected to the board and The board will get us back to the postive again! So if she steps on some toes by doing what is right then so be it! why turn a positive into a negative all the time. Just because you are the stands doing what you want to do and do not see her working doesnt mean she didnt. I know for a fact but it doesnt matter. She does what she does not for you to see her or to make you like her. It wouldnt matter what she did nor what the new members would do you will always find fault or something negative to say.

Toot Toot Mrs. Miller!!!

Sorry Justafan, but that is NOT Mrs. Miller.

Thanks for clearing up that she could care less about what her constituents think. I thought elected officials were supposed to listen to constituents but I guess you two just learnt me somethin'.

Sorry to bring the topic off guard, but this poster had an agenda to his posts that I had to point out.
