At PN-G, it is always fun to get excited about game day. I will add that it is a tad easier to stay excited and amped up after getting another W in Mid County Madness! No let down this week vs Dayton. Get the W on homecoming and get to 2-0 in district! Go Indians!

A real bummer to see another proud and storied football program like Dayton have to run out on the field with no band, no cheering and maybe 50 fans.

Dayton of yesteryear, where for art thou? What has happened to that program?
Dayton was so strong 2006-2012. Dayton beat PNG 33-2 and 40-7 in 2006 and 2007. Beat Nederland 63-0 in 2007. Made the semifinals in 2007 and state finals in 2008. Lost by a TD to Brenham in 2009 in the third round.

14-0 Indians early in second quarter. The drive included a Bost 63 yard pass to Conner. About a 5 yard pass and 58 yard run after the catch!

Sorry to continue the critical descriptions of the tackling but it's mind boggling. Defensive players literally run alongside the ball carrier, arms extended and grasping for them on any open field play. This is arm tackling perfected to a level never before seen. I can only imagine that this is taught and practiced.

I agree. I'm watching it and I can hear former PN-G coaches Jerry Hooper and Terry Cobb yelling, "hit him, wrap up, and get him on the ground!" Coach Hooper, "put your hat on him!"

BTW - another PN-G touchdown.

Bost is really a skilled QB. He can't run like RJ but he's a pure passer with a rifle arm. And not a bad runner either. About the same speed as RJ but doesn't run as hard.

I can still hear them too. "Put your hat under his chin and wrap up!" "Run through the ball carrier!"

He has a live arm...he can throw it with touch or he can spin it with some zip. PN-G has been blessed with talented QBs. Going back to the fifties, sixties, seventies, nineties, and five or six talented QBs during Coach Faircloth's run. Jackie Hawthorne (spelling?), Greg Davis, Richy Ethridge, David Fry, Donnie Schexnaider, Jay Musser, Dustin Long, B. Doty, Ky Walker, Adam Morse, RJ, and Blake Bost. That is 70 years of great talent and lots of wins! Here's to Blake Bost making a deep playoff run and setting new records!

Go Indians. Peace.

Dustin Long could thread the needle...RJ threw the most beautiful deep ball...RJ's deep throws had perfect arc and spin...Blake Bost just makes great throws all over the field. He can throw it all over the yard and he throws a very catchable ball. He can drop it in a bucket from 20, 30, 40 yards out. How can you not have confidence in Bost leading the team? 20 points behind...no problem. Need a last minute drive against your rival? No problem. Very calm and cool under pressure.

Go Indians. Peace.

That last pass was as good as it gets, at any level. It dropped down out of the sky right into Pearson's arms with 2 or 3 pass defenders around him.

For any fans that are interested, we have more PN-G points on the scoreboard. It is now time for the back-ups to get some playing time under the Friday night lights on Homecoming 2020.

Time to get Bost out of the game. We don't need any injuries. Barbers Hill next week. Put in the second and third team groups. Spread the love.

Go Indians. Peace.

Remember the name Cole Crippen. The next great passer who will probably take over next year. As a sophomore.
