Looking at this highlight video, some keys to winning this game are wrapping up when tackling those running backs. Also, non-stop pursuit and gang tackling. Another is to maintain responsibility on pass coverage. Don't fall for the trickery on that flea flicker type of play, or leave the middle of the field open. They have a big tight end that can create havoc.

Judging by the success DP had in the passing game, there will be some good opportunities there. And that will take some pressure off of the PN-G running backs. The success of our offense line protecting Bailey is a big factor.

I’m no good at score predictions but agree that the Indians will win this one if they don’t self destruct. Self destruction is highly unlikely as experienced as the team is and the quality of coaching.

Our boys are stepping onto The Reservation under the lights for the first time this season and onto a field that the greats before them struck fear into their opponents--not because those greats were bigger or faster or stronger--but because those greats played with a passion and intensity cultivated by something greater than themselves--pushed by the roars of 1000's in the stands, the band blaring the most famous fight song in high school football while the Indian Spirit performs his iconic dance, and the unwavering encouragement by the Indianettes/cheerleaders . What it means to wear the purple and white is bigger than a team, its bigger than a school. The towns of Port Neches and Groves are a special place in which it is engrained in our kids from day 1 what honor, pride, and tradition truly are. Bleeding purple is a way of life. 2023 is over--what a ride it was. But its time for the boys to put their own stamp on PN-G history and join the greats that came before.

Looks like it could be a long night folks. We don’t need any more talk about winning streaks.

La Porte’s RB talent is head and shoulders above the Indians attack.
