Is there anything we can do to get to the College Station/FB Marshall/Huntsville/Manvell level? Hijack good second-team players from Westbrook and United?
I’d rather lose every game than be Manvel. Lol. I think there is hope in as the other areas grow and PN is going to basically stay the same size over time. (In essence moving down) Land locked but football will always be an emphasis. Us and Carthage battling it out every year.
That will be several years before we go to AAAA. But I agree about Manvel.

Yes. It’s simple. Produce a defense.

My Two cents either FB is just that Good are we just wasn't prepared. I was at the game and what i witnessed was we looked intimidated from warm ups to end of game. FB hit us right in the teeth from the start and we the fans the coaches, players were shocked and never could recover. But i look forward to Bost at QB and another year of PNG Football. We just was out matched this year. Good luck to all the Sr's ,RJ at Texas and i love my PNG sports . Im moving on to soccer because look out this year our Girls soccer team is really really good i see us finally getting past the 3rd round.

With no legitimate running game the offense became too one dimensional.
The defense is what it has been for the past several years.

Agree. And the funny thing is I bet our RBs had more yards on the ground than any other game this year. (Possibly combined)

1. Improve offensive line effectiveness
2. Running back. Teach backs to run with power. Deslatte was that back before injury. Ideally Conner would have seen more playing time all season as his replacement.
3. Improve tackling fundamentals.
4. Special teams.

Because Texas is the fastest growing state in the nation, and Port Neches and Groves are growing much slower than the “countryside” the numbers will move as PN stays the same maybe within 5 years.

That's no guarantee of anything. Look at WO-S and Newton. Newton could play with any team. It's all about the players and preparation, not the classification.

Fort Bend Marshall has 1,248 students.

But hey, this team did pretty darn well. All the local football ‘experts’ were picking the Indians to finish 3rd or 4th in district. They ended up beating them all on the field of play.

The team also battled injuries all season and were never 100% strong after week 1, including the loss of their best running back. best offensive lineman, and R.J. for 1.5 games.

It’s tough to go deep in the playoffs. Not many 5A teams accomplished what the ‘18 Indians did.

Thanks to coaches and players on a winning season!

FB Marshall has a great football team. But their fan support, or lack thereof, is unfortunate.

FBM’s band director could also use some lessons in sportsmanship. Their band’s constant misuse of musical instruments as noise makers whenever PNG had the ball is disgraceful.

Hey. Since classification doesn’t matter we could always petition to compete in 6A. I’m sure they would let us. They make The two Jesuit schools do it even though they are relatively small schools.

One other observation after viewing the game. There were a lot of no calls in favor of FBM. A lot of holding, including Nichol's facemask being firmly held on one score.

Oh, I think classification matters a lot. Don't want to play North Shore or Westbrook.

No different than Central or Ozen. They were HORRIBLE to listen to in the stands.
