9/04/09 7:30 PM vs. Bellville (Bellville, TX) 13-28 (L)
9/11/09 TBA vs. Caney Creek (Conroe, TX) 63-20 (W)
9/19/09 TBA @ Washington (Houston, TX) 40-33 (W)

Seems like ever since Bellville no defense has really stopped them from scoring 35+ a game. It's going to be up to our D to step up and put a hold on Livingston's running game.

looking at these stats tells me one thing....

we absolutely HAVE TO SHUT DOWN THE RUN GAME of the Lions.

if that is accomplished, it should be a lot easier win for us.

I can tell you we are getting ZERO respect outside our community. Many people feel like we are fixng to hit a stretch of 3 or 4 district losses.

Livingston has a very good run game. Seeing that there is an 80% chance of rain Friday we could be in for a situation we have not seen this year....a wet, muddy field. The defense is going to have to maintain their assignments and wrap up. Arm tackling and over running plays will get us in trouble.

On offense we have to eliminate the penalties and have better clock management. We have to limit the turnovers and have long sustained drive.

If this team plays like it is capable they can win. If they play sloppy it will be a long bus ride home.

they should feel honored to be the underdogs because the underdogs always go in with more intensity and a sense of something to prove. we should all love to be known as the challenger rather than the champion because challengers tend to try alot harder
