I am sure you remember the trouble at the end of the Central-PNG football game. Perhaps that had something to do with the decision not to have our cheerleaders at this game. Plus it is unusual for the visiting team to bring their cheerleaders. I know that some of the guys from Central mentioned to some of our guys that they beat us at the football game. Maybe we were just trying to avoid any incident.
I sincerely hope you are right. I'll have to ask friends if cheerleaders have been at the other game or not. We were just shocked to not see our cheerleaders there and wondered why.

I am a varsity cheerleader and if you would have went to the other basketball games you would have noticed that we have been at all of them with an exception of two due to scheduling conflicts, (every tuesday night for girls and every friday night for boys). also probably the only reason you went to this game was because you were hoping what happen at the football game would happen at basketball game. as a matter of fact we also talked to the coach prior to the game and ask if we needed to be at the game and if we needed to be there we would have someone to fill in for our sponsor and he said that that was completely alright and he completely understood the situation that mrs wolfe was under.

It seems like someone told me that Mrs. Wolfe handed the freshman squad over to another sponsor. It also seems like someone told me that her son broke his neck (or something along those lines) several months ago and that could be taking up some of her time. Dont quote me on it, its hearsay and I could be wrong, but that came to mind when I read the previous posts.
Edit: I did not see the post from mcfstrainer's daughter (sorry, somehow I just missed it), and I guess that confirms that I was somewhere in the ball park with the statement about her son. I can vouch for the statements about Mrs. Wolfe's commitment and spirit. Her keyboarding classroom is stacked with cheerleader equipment and the cheerleaders do put in the extra effort with the signs and posters. Having visited (Visited. I would never think of leaving PN-G.) other schools in the area, its nice to see a cheerleader squad (and sponsor) that puts in the extra effort and doesnt just quit when football seasons over.
Guess we've been spoiled over the years. Used to cheerleaders cheering for both fb and bb.

if you were to look back at past years then you would have noticed that we have cheered at more basketball games then ever before, as well as cheering at every home volleyball game, we even went to two away volleyball games. so if you really think about it were you really spoiled over the years? did cheerleaders in the past go to not only all the football games but also go to all they home volleyball games, basketball games, soccer games, and baseball games? we are actually doing more things to get other people involved and to come to more game as well as helping other foundations/schools/anything you name (like bringing cat and dog food for the humane society, bears for children, we will even be collecting children's books for the school in port author that as recently burned down).

this website is one HUGE JOKE, all it is used for is to bash other people about their jobs ! i mean really people if you think you could do a better job than any of the other sponsors or think that they need to be replaced i would really like to see yall try putting up with what they have to deal with from day to day. this website was not intended for parents to sit around all day and gossip about everything that goes on at high school events, my gosh how old are yall really? its really sad that yall try to pick out the littlest things, life is to short to get upset about it. can yall not think of anything else to worry about other then high school? i especially think that its sad that yall bash other sponsors, coaches, indianettes, cheerleaders, band, twirlers, and heaven for bid i leave one of the groups out that yall bash because yall will probably bash me for not mentioning them, but you cant even put your name with it because your afraid. own up to what your getting your self into instead of doing it secretly where you can protect yourself, especially if you have no idea what your talking about and just going by "he said" "she said". it is people like all of you that makes me hate being apart of such a great school like PNG because all yall say is "well the cheerleaders are doing this wrong" "the indianettes look horrible" "the bands not playing loud enough" people GET OVER IT, ITS HIGH SCHOOL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!! this website was intended for simply sports talk and how things were going with the other activities, it wasn't made for obsessed parents and past indian fans to say their input about how we aren't doing a good enough job for yall, times have changed get over it !

if you are desperately in need of an extracurricular activity besides gossip, join PTA or something.

Jeremy Gregg.

NOTE:
IF ITS REALLY THAT BIG OF A DEAL AND YOU WERE WONDERING WHAT OTHER GAMES/EVENTS WE WONT BE ATTENDING PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT RUTHIE WOLFE AND TAKE IT UP WITH HER !!!!!!

(when you talk to her you might realize how great of a sponsor she is)

I think you need to go back and read the posts. Like i stated before, the only person that bashed Ruthie was one of the cheerleader's moms. Everyone else was just trying to find out what was going on. That is one of the points of this site. Everyone is entitled to their OPINION. The mods do a great job of keeping people from bashing anyone. Yes, we are passionate about some issues, and that is because our kids go here and we all want what is best for them. Yes, it might not all be the same thing, but that is what makes it great. Most everyone on this site has the same purpose, and that is making our district better. You are entitled to your OPINION and i respect that. I just think you are missing the point.

Great answer, Mod! I am getting concerned about our young people who either cannot understand the written word OR are so immature they get kicks out of trying to act "superior" to everyone else. I stated very clearly that the problem we were discussing had NOTHING to do with the cheerleaders or sponsor. There was no bashing. An observation was made and questioned. Case closed.

i have read every post. and im not saying that EVERYONE is bashing wolfe. but however people are saying things like mrs wolfe is paid for going to games and other stuff like that, and shes not paid anything extra. like i said yall dont know what yall are talking about. you may want whats best for your kids but this is not helping it any you need to let your kids deal with things themselves because you wont be able to do what you think is "best" for them for forever you need to let them grow up and deal with it. and how are you going to make the district better by talking smack about everyone because thats all everyone does? we are judged enough by our peers we dont need to be judged by adults who have no idea whats going on because they are not there for everything and want to go by what people say. so modmouse i think YOU are the one missing the point.

no we dont get a kick out of trying to act "superior" to everyone else, we get a kick out of how yall act so immature i mean does it really matter if we cheered at a game or not? if you were so upset and wondered why we werent there then why didnt you go to any of the other games this past season?

im not a kid and im sorry but i do see the whole picture. you are saying i dont understand because you think because im in highschool that i wouldnt understand what you are talking about, but im sorry i completely understand and im stating the facts and thats not what you want to hear and you know that im right and you dont want to admit it.

if you want to talk about maturity level then look who is talking your an adult you have a million other things to be worrying about rather then what is happening in high school. face the facts your not in high school anymore so close the yearbooks and be done with it.

Every sponsor gets a stipend for extracurricular activities. Ask her.

Me, too! My last post, Mod. These particular students don't even know how to spell correctly, but someone told them that the world revolves around them. Are they in for a rude awakening or what!!!!

Your post was removed because it's generally not a good idea to reveal your identity on a messageboard. If you check you'll see that one of the recommended rules is DON'T reveal personal information about yourself. A name would qualify as personal information.

I have two teenage kids who also 'completely understand' everything. How dare an adult with a few decades more life experience question their logic.

You'll understand someday that certain things in your life never leave you including association with your hometown, high school and college.
People frequent this message board because it allows them an outlet to keep up with the community, sports, and friends. It has nothing to do with being in high school.

yes im fully aware of the fact that it says DON'T reveal personal information about yourself im not an idiot i can read, im just not afraid to take responsibly for my actions and im owning up to what i say unlike everyone else on here.

i think its ridiculous that people cant own up to what they say. why dont you have enough guts to take responsibilities for your actions? because your afraid that it will effect your kids? no i can understand using the message board to keep up with sports and the community but its ridiculous how people use it to put down other people, or to talk about what they THINK they know what is going on. i have talked to many people including adults, parents, and teachers about this subject and all of them agree with what i say and that i am right. you can say the your sarcastic remarks that you want about me not "understanding" but i can insure you that i do completely understand.

im done wasting my time on adults that refuse to admit that they are wrong because they cant except the fact that a kid in high school is right and actually knows what they are talking about.

Another rule that you may have overlooked.

If you're under 18

DO get a parent's permission before posting on the boards

Just curious, but are they still teaching English at PNG? You know, spelling, capitals, and all of that other unimportant stuff?

varsitycheerleader, please, calm down. Im a high school kid, too. I understand where youre coming from and that you feel that someone youre close to has been attacked. I felt the same way when I joined this board. Its the main reason I joined. I was just as passionate about and just as defensive of the band (Take a look at the "This is how I remember Cherokee sounding..." thread.). It took some time for me to realize that no one was attacking the band or the band directors. They were only trying to make a suggestion because theyre so proud to be from PN-G and dont want to see that purple pride deteriorate. And lets face it, theyre PN-G grads, many of whom graduated during PN-G's high point in the 1970's. They have a few things to offer.

The only message intended by most of the posters was a mere suggestion on how to maintain the aforementioned pride. There was only one person who implied that Mrs. Wolfe wasnt doing her job. She was the mother of one of the cheerleaders, and that discrepancy has been cleared up. It was a misunderstanding, no harm done. Please, calm down and reread the posts from the top. Im sure that you'll see things in a different light once you do. I know I did with the band threads.

Good post kid. It was not long ago that I was a senior at PNG high school (5 years ago to be exact). My mother is a teacher in the district. I still email my former teachers, and I follow PNG in all of its academic and athletic endeavors. For someone to come on here and say that "we have no clue what is going on" is a mere assumption. We have family members that teach in the district, kids that attend school in the district, and friends that are a part of something special.

This site has never been a bashing site. If bashing is what you want, I can think of other sites where that is allowed. Our mods do a great job finding inappropriate posts and deleting them. On this site, opinions are voiced and at times, those opinions can be read by fellow posters as being harsh. However, those posts are never intended to be hurtful. Initially they might be read as hurtful/hateful, but once the opinion is hashed out, we find that it was nothing more than a critique.

Everyone that posts on this site has nothing but the best intentions for PNG now and into the future. I love where I came from, and I want it to be loved by those who are following in my footsteps.
