Why there "B" team?

My understanding is this:

Our JV A Did not have a game scheduled due to varsity playing G-P.
PAM is playing Central this week, who does not have a JV B.
PAM JV B needed a game and our JV A needed a game.

This is my understanding of the situation, though I could be wrong because this is all second hand information. I know that our coaches are trying to schedule a JV B schedule for us because most schools do not have B teams. This is the same scenario that PAM was looking at also.
