We paralleled in scrimmage results...not sure about how strong Memorial is, but we tied Flour Bluff, who is a very large 4A school with about 700 more enrollment and is the preseason Coastal Bend 4A-5A team in our area. Now it's healing, game plan, films, then getting it on.

PA is a 5A school with about 1000 more kids. They are big and fast. We looked out of sync for the first half of the scrimmage. Our receivers and defensive backs need to get more aggressive. D.J. Schexnider is a beast on defense, but needs to keep some of that emotion in check at times. We cannot afford to many 15 yrd. penalties.

Not sure, but I think I sat behind you at the scrimmage. Were you with P.B.?

What is your schedule now 93

We start shift Monday for the next month (hopefully). Then we'll go back to 7-12s until possibly after the coker is online. We get a fatigue day every 13 or 14 days.

Well the boys had some good and bad happen from the Freshmen thru the Varsity. First scrimmage. What can you expect. Looked like it was a very basic package on offense and defense. Passing game looked decent, but Doty seemed alittle off at times. I'm sure glad he wasn't injured when that linebacker took a cheap shot on him on the sideline run. That really pissed me off. THUG !!!! I saw alot of holding on our receivers by PAM secondary that should have been called. Several would have resulted in completed passes. The receiver was held long enough for the ball to be out of hand reach. I think we have some very good receivers and they are fast ! The running game is decent, not like Harmon, but give him another game or 2 as well as the O line to get back into the swing of things. I feel alot of it was nerves. I have to say that PAM's D was pretty stout and large on the line. Their offense is going to be darn good in their district. Fast Fast Fast ! Good size O line as well. Their receivers are fast and have good hands.
Our D was a basic at best for right now. I would have liked to have seen alot more pressure put on the QB with blitz's and stunts. I feel it would have had a different outcome in the game. I'm glad they rotated several of the players on defense. That's always a good thing to help with experience and it helps to create some depth in the positions. I have to agree with the above comments that the emotions need to be held in check alittle more. This coming week will be tough on the boys in practice I'm sure. They have alot they will work on and I'm sure we will all see that payoff in the game Saturday in the Dome. Overall I saw what I expected to see. Some rust on the tires and the emotion of finally getting to hit someone else besides each other.
