How come it is so difficult to get the scores from the Lady Indian softball games? Have they played and/or scrimmaged yet? Please post all results for the softball team so that all PN-G fans can follow them. Please let us know how they are doing--whether they win or lose--someone please let the fans know. Thanks

I will post scores. I did last year, but have fallen down on the job this year. They have such bad luck during scrimmages. The weather was too bad to play most of them, then they went to Orangefield and the lights went out. they only go t 2 innings of play in. Friday, the 11th, they traveled to Hamphire-Fannett, where they lost 2-1. B. Moore, returning 20-4A pitcher of the year, did not play due to the flu.

This past weekend, the team played in College Station. I am not sure of the wins-loses, but they hit well over the 3 days. They are still finding themselves defensively, but they will get it together.

They host Bmt. Westbrook tonight at the reservation.

Did they scrimmage Kelly at one point? I think I remember someone saying something about that at school.

yes, Bandkid, they did play Kelly. It was their first actual game of the season. I forgot about that one. They won that game 11-3.

Tonight, we won 12-5. The bats were alive. Good game. Brittnee Moore pitched the whole game and did a great job.

We actually did not play this week. We are playing today and tomorrow at the Manvel Tournament. The teams we are scheduled to play are very good. Barbers Hill, Deer Park, Brook, Reagen,, and Angleton.

Last week we played Thursday and Saturday in Lake Jackson at the Brazosport High School tournament. We did not do our best on Thursday, too many mental errors. However, after a couple of changes, we came back home Friday to beat Sulphur 8-3. Saturday our "new attitude:" team went back to Lake Jackson where the won 3-0 against Brazoswood, 10-0 against Brazosport, and 10-2 against Galveston Ball.

Brittnee Moore hit a homerun on Thursday. Ryann Lunsford hit one on Saturday, only for the umpire to say he was not sure it went over. However, after the game the same umpire approached Ryann and told her that he had later in the game confirmed that it was indeed a homerun and he apologized to her.

The girls are finding their way with each other. They are communicating much better. We should be just fine when district starts next week.

Just another reminder, we will be hosting Nederland on Friday, April 1. That night we will be doing our Strike Out Cancer fundraise. We need lots of help and support on that night.

Just got back from Manvel. We did ok in the tournament. We went 2-3. The team played well, just made a few mistakes. the high winds today did not help. We did play some very good teams, so I would not put too much into the losses.

Nederland was in the same tournament and they also went 2-3.

We start district play on Tuesday at the reservation. I know that Coach Fontenot will have them ready.
