A shot from the 1st day of fall practice.

Today was just a continuation of what we saw with spring practice. It's great that when coach Faircloth came in, his system was installed at the spring practices. Now the kids know the drill. Here it is day 1 and all plays were signaled in from the sidelines. The kids know what to do. It was very hot out there today. As usual, a fast/efficient practice.

Picture wouldn't load, all I get is the red x. But I talked to one of the coaches today, said it went well.

I noticed during practice today that only one of the two football practice fields has been striped and is being used. I recognized one of the guys and guessed that they only had JV out there and that maybe the practices had been broken up and the freshmen would be practicing later. Now I'm looking at the schedule and guessing that they were practicing together (which is different from years past; they've always had JV on one field, the freshmen on the other, and varsity in the stadium - all from around 8 to around 11:30 or so) or that the freshman team was in the stadium for some reason.

Can anyone explain?

Drove by this morning on my way in to work...had a handful of faithful up in the stands watching. A few were sitting in their vehicles behind the score board watching.

I thought this 2nd day of practice was more intense. It is so impressive to see how our young men pushed themselves in the session from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. WOW....that was HOT ! ! !
They never slowed down a bit.

Bandkid, I think the freshman practice on the grass field at the same time the JV is on the Field Turf.

pngfan93, The format for the intersquad scrimmage on Saturday is based on one Coach Faircloth saw at Utah. It sounds something close to the 7 on 7 format. Should be interesting.
