1 and 2 could be interchangeable, not sure how Dayton will be this year they could bump Nederland. I do not think Nederland will be very strong this year. Texas City is always a threat they could compete in the top two also.

We always struggle with Texas City.

It goes back and forth if my memory is correct. I seem to remember trouncing them once or twice a few years ago in predistrict play.

I pretty much agree with this order, as well as with your “interchangeables.”

I am lacking any knowledge on Willowridge
Just following FB Marshall the last few years, I've paid a little bit attention to them and they have never been very impressive. I believe we played them in 2nd rd in 2016 and Gavin Deslatte was a freshman, and he ran all over them.

I like that prediction too. Hope it turns out that way, or better.

PN-G is picked to finish 2nd behind FB Marshall, but the Indians have a legitimate shot at taking the district crown in 2022. The Indians offense will be flying high again in 2022 with 9 starters returning including a veteran offensive line led by D1 recruit Jansen Ware, Elizardo Pena, Jeff Carter, Dillan Romero, and sophomore Jackson Christian . Also returning are QB Cole Crippen (3,019 yards passing in '21), receivers Chance Prosperie (1,374 yards receiving in 21), Landon Guarnere, Brock Hebert, Shea Adams and others. The Indians lost 1700+ yard rusher Koby Trahan to graduation, but a host of talented new running backs are ready to step up including converted linebacker Isaac Sinette and speedster Tommy Reed.

6 starters return on defense plus new nose tackle Bryce Loftin who is moving from his starting offensive line position. Three year starter Isaac Baker returns at defensive end along with linebackers Gardiner and Landry. Secondary ballhawk Torryan Hinton will anchor the defensive backfield along with returning 2021 sophomore DB Reid Richard.

Three district teams are in the 2022 DCTF preseason, 5AD2 top 25 rankings.

#17. Port Neches-Groves
#18. Texas City

That is a stout top-6. I do not know about Frisco, Mansfield Timberview, Ennis, or the others in the group of 7-20, but those top-6 teams could all beat each other on any given Friday/Saturday. Those are some talented and playoff experienced winners. I would love for PN-G to break into the top-10 and fight its way to that top-6 group.

Even though they're moving up I'd lookout for Argyle. They're good at literally everything it seems and they got the participation numbers and talent to compete in that classification.
