What's the matter?? You don't get the point I made??? I did not grow up in PN and I wasn't born in 1945. There are lots of great people who are not from PN and are great PNG fans. Its the ones that keep talking about TJ and "when in PA we did this or we did that" that annoy everyone. We live in PN by choice not because of white flight. TJ did not own PN. That was a ridiculous statement. There are a lot of us that remember when the great Larry Mayer was QB for TJ and PN was losing by three touchdowns at the end of the 3rd quarter and the Indian tribe came back and won that game. That is what is called class.Smurf said:Squaw......? You get the picture? It's called being a fan...with class.
CardiacKids 92 said:Yes there is a lot of history between PN-G and TJ and the rivalry is definitely missed! I played in the early 90's and remember those trash talkin games. On of the memories that comes to mind is from the 89 or 90 team when Darin Printy (sp?) was coming across the middle to catch a Ryan Robertson pass and the sound of the hit he took was deafening. He still caught the ball but he walked off the field a little dizzy. What a great catch!
My in laws both graduated from TJ and they are both fine individuals. They live in Port Neches but it's Nederland school district so their daughter/my wife was a bulldog.
Let me repeat WAS a bulldog! She now bleeds purple like the rest of us. Only problem is that my daughters think they are half bulldog half Indians. It's okay though they have been singing and dancing to Cherokee since they both were 2 years old! Yes they bleed purple...
squaw said:OK, I am calm now so I will apologize for letting someone upset me this close to Christmas. As I have said on previous posts, we welcome others here and are always glad to have new citizens. Everyone should forget the past and focus on the future or history will repeat itself. Lets all band together to support PN, Groves and PNGISD. I do several things to support my community and hope others do, too. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all and here's a toast to an even better, more productive year in 2009.

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever. -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
