RADIO BROADCASTS THIS SEASON

Does anyone know what radio station,if any, will be carrying the Indian football games this year? The AM station they went to last year had a very weak signal and it was difficult at times to pick up the broadcast. The internet feed they had also had a lot of issues. It would be nice to go back to an FM station.

We are very excited to announce the PNG High School Football Broadcast is moving to FM Radio! All the PNG football games this year will be broadcast on FM 92.5 and will be streaming on the internet at www.cool925.com or iheartradio.

You’ll have more places and options to listen to PNG football this season than ever before, we are moving our games to KCool 92.5 FM and iHeart Radio at www.cool925.com. Francis Schroeder, will be our new play by play announcer for the broadcast team along with a few veteran PNG Indians helping him out on Friday Nights. The listeners wanted the games moved back to FM and that is exactly what we are giving them - It’s all about the listener experience and moving back to FM plus having the games on the internet is the best of both worlds. The games will now be carried on the KCool 92.5 FM and iHeart Radio @ www.cool925.com

The broadcasts are still generously underwritten by BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals with a portion of the ad proceeds going to PNG High School in the form of scholarships. BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals Manager for Community and Government Affairs, Carol Hebert says giving back to the community is important to the company. “It’s a great way for the plant to show our commitment to the community while allowing local business the opportunity of showing their support for the home team, all while raising money for scholarships,” Hebert said.

To listen to the games you can tune in to KCool 92.5 FM on your radio or go to www.cool925.com and listen to the game on iHeart Radio. You can also listen on your iPhone or android smart phone with the iHeart Radio app.

Very good news! Living in Frisco makes it rough to attend many games so I live and die by the radio stream.
Thanks :)

Didn't Francis Schroeder used to handle Nederland broadcasts? This could be interesting... Grateful he's coming on board though!!

Yep he did the Ned broadcasts for many years. He's a good PbP guy, but will miss Joe Arnold as he made an effort to connect through email with the radio listeners and also had personal connections to the district.

Lance Billeau is also on the broadcast team. I guess he's doing the color?

Yes. And there is a young lady keeping stats and doing some color commentary.

The young lady keeping stats is Ky Walkers sister and a LU student. They have a good crew up there.
