Can't wait to see what the new district will look like...my guess is something like this:

PNG
Ned
Vidor
Dayton
Crosby
BH
Bay Lee

Leaving Central/Ozen out because of possible merger moving them to 6A...if that doesn't happen, then do they stay put and make a huge district?

We get rid of College Station but get stuck with Manvel in D2. Manvel becomes our new obstacle for winning the regional title.

I did not notice that Manvel was going D2...the football gods must really like Manvel. They go from being in the big schools for the 5A playoffs to the probably the largest school in D2 5A next year...they squeaked in by a whopping 5 kids.

Also seems likely that district play next year will be more competitive than it has been during the last few years, with Crosby, Barbers Hill, and Dayton possibly taking the place of Memorial, Livingston, and Lumberton. Of course, this is not necessarily a bad thing with the exception of the extra travel.

This is how I see the new 5A D1 district for us: New Caney, Porter, GCM, Galena Park, Kingwood Park, Conroe Caney Creek and us (PA Memorial)

Wildcard will be Lufkin. If Lufkin is with us: GCM and Galena Park will go wherever Ball High goes.

Can see an option to where Baytown Lee could opt up to D1 to be with GCM.

Yes, you told me about shadow creek...I just figured they would still have enough to be 5A Div 1 vs dropping to D2..they made it by a whopping 5 kids LOL...that is why I said the Gods were smiling on them :)

good chance they hover around that number for awhile, parents are moving their kids into SC, SC will have 6A numbers by October.

I would move my kids out of a school who has adopted the motto "it's a good day to die" (Hoka Hey) probably just for that reason. I will say the Manvel players relatively behaved themselves the last game I saw (vs Temple)

Too much travel for Port Arthur!
yeah come playoff time. District play we're going to travel no matter what, like we did in 6A. That's the only projection I've seen of us in Region 2.

I've seen Carl Padilla projection and its more favorable, I trust his info 100% he's darn near spot-on on everything.

I'll try to post his projection later on if I can.
