All reports from the Board and Construction Manager state that everything is just hunky dorie!!!!!

If the baseball, softball, and tennis facilities are being cut, all involved should have a grand 'ol time explaining how everything was fine when they announce the cuts.

I bet I could sell tickets. :) The problem is not one of the the Admin or Board members will make a public statement. They just allow speculation to continue and rely on gossip to get the word out. However, the "gossip" that I was told came directly from those involved, so if they were made aware of it by Admin - why not make a statement, in the newspaper of their choice - that this project has been cut from the bond. And if it has been cut from the bond - why are we still over budget?

Anyone know of a good forensic accountant? I think we need to actually have a fund raiser and hire one.

this school board is nothing but a bunch of rednecks! and as for as them listening to you , that a joke! they all have their head up their butt, to even bother to answer your question , they think they are above the public. I would be embarrassed to say i on this board.

I don't know where to actually post this so here it goes.

Did you read today's PA so-called paper - Lani Randall requested that the City of Groves waive the fees for building permits to build the new Groves Middle School, the cost of these permits adds up to about $75,000. The City voted against the waiver because no one from the district bothered to show up to the City Council meeting to answer questions regarding why the District was requesting the waiver. We can't pay for permits, now? Not good at all.

well there you go, they think they ask and it shall come! I am proud of our Mayor and City council for voting against the wavier! Why should we short change our city budget because of the PNGISD can not do not know how to do the math on their budget! Time for the board members to resign and get someone on the board that knows what he/she is doing! I think we should start a petition for their removable from the board!

Maybe NDNPARENT and MightyNDNS should be running the entire thing. I just logged into the site after reading posts for a couple of month and every thread I go to the (2) of you have nothing good to say. If you are that unhappy there are other cities around here you could move to if needed....I just like 99% of the others on this would like to discuss things back and forth and everything for the (2) of you comes back to bonds....If you dont like it....move....I on the other hand will continue to pay taxes in any city I live in and take it with a grain of salt..Voice my opinion at a few school board meetings but then go back to paying taxes......

So I can't be concerned about what goes on with my money? I need to move? Let me tell you all something, if any of you were at all concerned about the future of PNG, WHICH INCLUDES THE BLESSED FOOTBALL PROGRAM, you would be asking the same questions that I am. I have lived here for 40yrs and have no intention of moving - so get used to me. In fact, I probably know most of you and you would be surprised at who I am. Y'all gotta pull your heads out and get a clue...Time to grow up and play with the big kids. If you don't care then simply state that you don't care and let us keep discussing what is going on - is this not a discussion board.

Gotta love that football mentality. "Football? You bet" CAN YOU NAME THE MOVIE THIS QUOTE IS FROM?

Did you wear a helmet when you played? It's a little hard to tell from your post. :)

Nah, I am through quoting members of the faculty, I go straight to the source now. Faculty gets lied to.

I put a smiley face on my other post, I was joking. No sense of humor?

You stated early to reply, "I dont care" when needed so I'll use that for now....I guess my only objections would be that this is PNG SPORTS TALK...Not the MightyNDNS (School Board/City Manager) I know more than everyone else TALK...I have no problems with opinions but geeez, do you really support PNGISD and the city or just attend every meeting to try and find any flaw possible....I have always wondered about people like you in that if we watched every decision you have made "work related" what we would think....Just a thought o MIGHTY ONE!....Now back to sports....

Well I just got a raise at work so I guess I am doing ok - but you are more than welcome to come and look over my shoulder in order to find something wrong with my work, in an area that you know nothing about!!! You attacked me, so I replied. I'll do everyone a favor and stay off the board and when you want to know when or why about something, you can go ask a board member, if you can get one to give you a direct answer.

Yes, I support PNGISD, TO THE MAX!!! I just don't like the way they are managing our money(Admin, that is). I have lived here all my life (with a brief detachment in the 80's) But I came back to raise my kids here because I wanted them to go the best school in the WORLD!!! I wanted them to experience PNG and all it's glory - and they have no idea what is going on with my concerns or issues - they are enjoying and feeling the PNG Pride just I always have. I think the stadium is going to be wonderful and can't wait for football season to start!!! I think all the improvements are going to be great, but I have concerns about a few things, that's all. I just don't how to communicate that to all of you without sounding like I am griping, I guess.

Personally, as a business person for the past 28 yrs., I don't understand how someone can give a bid on a job, get the bid, then raise the price so much. I've done tons of work for PNGISD over the years, and for EVERY contract that I was awarded for them, after the work was performed, the amt. I was paid was to the PENNY what my contract stated. Now some engineering firm ( you know, the proffession that wants everyone to think that they are always so precise and perfect) pitches a price to the school board, and the board pitches it to the voters, and we get all excited about it and vote for it,...THEN, after construction starts, we're told that those precise engineers missed by a couple dozen MILLION DOLLARS???? Where's the accountability? How come someone on the school board doesn't stand up and say "NO, THIS WAS YOUR BID, THIS IS OUR CONTRACT, AND YOU WILL HONOR YOUR CONTRACT! That's what bonds are for, to ensure work is performed per the contract.

I guess what I'm asking is, how come these companies aren't held to the same standards that we, as citizens are held to?
What kind of signal does this send to our kids?

And now the biggest question... Are we going to vote those same school board members back into office again?
If we do, we are telling them that we agree with the way they handled our tax dollars.

This is the decision that ea. must make on their own.

Sorry for the rant. :sorry:

Finally!!!! Someone that understands me!!!!! That's why I kept saying we had a contract "not to exceed" a certain amount. If you give a hard dollar bid to someone and you screw up and go back to them and say "This job is going to cost this much now because I didn't know how much this dry wall was going to cost" they would laugh in your face and say "Read the contract that we signed" and the contractor loses money, been there done that. But only once or twice. We had money built into the Bond amount to cover rising cost of materials, this is where I have a problem. We ( my company ) just now made a price increase on certain product - and almost everything we make is made from asphaltic products (oil).....

You better watch it Proud, your karma will go into the negative digits...

Oh and by the way, the school administration is accoutable to us, so we have the right to question whatever we want. And the reason I have these concerns is because I do support PNGISD.
