A tough loss to take. One that all fans, players and coaches are still trying to process I'm sure.

The triplets, Travis Miller, Chase Bertrand and Jayce Nelson end terrific seasons and careers.
All three deserve post season honors along with several defensive players.

Chase Bertrand
Season Carries Yards Avg TDs
2010 326 2013 6.17 24
2011 216 1284 5.94 24

Jayce Nelson
Season Receptions Yards Avg. TDs
2010 74 1123 15 12
2011 60 995 17 10

Travis Miller

2011 181 283 63.96 2249 18 9

Thanks and congratulations to all players on an excellent effort this season. Now it's time for the juniors and sophomores to step up and excel in this system. The future is bright.

As you look at those numbers, remember that Miller achieved all of this with only 11 games, and he finished the year just below Doty in the PNG record books, who played 12 & 13 games. Pretty impressive.

This whole group of Seniors have been a inspiration to the underclassmen on the team. They helped out the younger players in practice and in games. True leadership on and off the field. They will be missed. They have truly carried on and brought the meaning of HONOR PRIDE TRADITION up a few more notches ! Congrats to all on a great season and we all appreciate your hard work and dedication and perseverance this season. Thank you again !

I was thinking about this today and thought I would share it...... Last year when we lost to Manvel after the game I was talking to Chase and trying to make him feel better, I told him that you still have next year. He told me that he wanted to keep winning for Doty, Lumpy,Amir, Jiz and all the seniors, after this years loss to Dayton I saw Caleb Clark and he was upset about the loss I told him that he still has next year and to look forward to it..... He told me I wanted this win for Chase and all the seniors ..... As I am sure all the younger players felt.... all I can say is HONOR ! PRIDE ! TRADITION ! Good luck in all that you do PNG Indians seniors 2012 ! and cannot wait to see the 2012 and class of 2013
players take the field!
