The second he got the lead again, a torrent of votes came in for the guy from Oregon.

UT students and alumni have the numbers to crush that. I guess better organization or less apathy will more than counter the Longhorn and PNG Indian nation votes. One big social media push would take him over the top. If someone is on the local Facebook groups please make an appeal. That would potentially be good for several thousand votes.

An appeal on Orangebloods.com/Rivals.com would probably also do it. You have to be a paid member to post. Based on the fact that there is no mention of the contest on that message board, I doubt that its members are even aware of the competition (particularly since he is held in such high esteem by its members). If anyone knows someone that is a member, please pass it on.

Believe it or not, we have narrowed the gap to 170 votes. We have a few days left and can still do this!!

It appears that OB is aware. Multiple threads mentioning the need to vote for RJ. It has also been mentioned on texassports.com. If those appeals can take off there should be a good push. Not sure about Texas Insider, hornsfans, and other platforms.

One alleged trick that allows multiple votes per day is opening a browser tab in incognito or private mode. Also clearing cookies for the site.
However if that site was designed properly it is checking for a unique IP address which can only be countered by using a VPN and probably connecting through a different server before each vote. Not encouraging anyone to do that but it’s a thing and stops short of utilizing a script to automate voting. For the record I would not do that although it would not be difficult.

Horns24/7 website says you can vote once every 24 hours ON EACH DEVICE that you own. So that addreses the issue of IP addresses.

Ip address comes into play if you are trying to clear cookies and vote multiple times per device in 24H.

Right, but a different device (e.g., phone vs pc) will have a different IP address, thus the notion that people can vote more than once in a day as long as it is on a different device.
