There's No Place Like The Reservation Friday Night

I posted about this on another board. I attended a football game in Mt. Pleasant South Carolina this past weekend while on Vacation. I love to attend out of town and state high school football games to remind me of how great we have got it. They ( the Wando High Warriors lost to Summerville 14-9). A few years ago I attended the Oregon High School Football State Championship Games. They held the 2-5a games at the Oregon Ducks stadium ( Autzen Stadium in Eugene ). There overall attendance for the day was maybe 5K, and there support of there kids was minimal at best. Last Friday night Wando had a beautiful stadium but again minimal fan support compared to what we have right here in Port Neches on Friday Nights. Texas has the best football fans in the nation and Port Neches has the best football fans in Texas. This is a fact not an opinion. Travel around the country and watch there football you will see the people here love there Friday Nights. Even though we are having a bad season it should be no less special for our kids who has set a record for the most seniors ever for a PN-G team with 41. They were also the first team to play in our awsome new stadium. Lets all meet at the stadium Friday night and support these kids who will play there hearts out for us and there team.

First off let me say I know I'm biased, but I do believe our fans are the best. I just hope for the rest of this season we all show up and cheer and support these kids as if we were on our way to play the state championship. These students deserve to have their dreams of playing PNG football, cheerleading, Indianettes or being in the Purple Pride band fullfilled. As all of us who have precious memories of our performances on Friday nights at the Reservation tucked away in our hearts, we need to make sure that these kids have the same opportunity. Let's keep in mind when were frustrated that all around us in the stands there are parents, friends and families of these kids. Being Indian fans we've always expected more of ourselves. So let's go out there and give these kids our best. Cheer till you can't talk and show these kids and everyone we are the best fans win or lose! :rocks: :woot:

well, just a reminder that we can be sure that Lumberton is going to bring quite a few more people than Livingston did so we ALL better get there early Friday. I know I don't want to park at the park or the Little League field or something.

For all the games we park by the administration building and have never had a problem getting in and out. Hubby was late to the game against Livingston and was still able to park by the admin. building. I will be at the game as soon as I run by the Pecan Fest and get dinner on the go. ;D

We will be there with thermals on and a blanket just in case. I have weather the cold and rain to be able to see the INDAINS. Hell I had surgery on my leg back in 1999 the week they played LaMarque and the next week I think if I remember correctly we played at A&M I don't remember who we played but we got there I know about 3 or 4 hours before the game and it was raining. I sat in my wheel chair with my poncho on so we could get good seats to see those boys play.

GO INDIANS

I will never forget the Schertz-Clemens game! I think that was one of the best games I have ever attended! The weather just makes the story that much better!! I also remember at the state game standing at the bottom of the stands at the Astrodome and turning around. There are not words to describe that feeling.

Its a shame every school does not have the chance to expereince that feeling. Playing for the state championship in Texas is special. Playing for the state championship in Texas wearing Purple and White for PN-G is priceless.
