What a TEAM!

Had the good fortune of playing with the guys of late 70's and this years team is the only one I have seen since have that chemistry. From the coaches to the players there are no individuals only teamates!

In the last 30+ years I have only missed a handful of games. I have seem some great individual talent at numerous positions but not a team chemistry, maybe 1989 with Coach Malone and then Dustin Long's state campaign but still nothing like these young men and coaches.

Every time a player is interviewed they alway mention the rest of the team. No matter how far they go in the playoffs we as fans have gotten the pleasure of seeing something special.

In an early post some one compared Harmon to Eicher, I graduated with Justin and he was a beast along with James Shipley. Justin had the good fortune of running behind an o-line that was the high school equivalent of the Cowboys when Emmitt Smith had his good years. I've known Caleb for years and if he had Justin's size it would be scary.

I want to thank all the coaches from the last few years who helped groom these young men to make it easy on coach Faircloth's group to turn them into what you see today.

Once again this is a true team from top to bottom and to see this out of todays youth makes me proud to be an NDN for life! Keep it up guys, enjoy what you have accomplished and have fun the rest of the season. 30 years from now you'll look back an understand what I'm talking about, it don't get no better than this! Ya'll are truely a special group!

This IS a special group of young men. Haven't seen a PNG team this focused since the Dustin Long days. I'm sure most of us never thought this team would be this successful seeing that an entirely new program and philosophy had to be put in place. Perhaps the telling sign was even before the season started when we beat Memorial in a scrimmage. Got us thinking that maybe we may have something here. No matter what happens next week or in the playoffs, these guys have been super entertaining to watch!

Spoken like a true Indian fan, 78NDN. I am sure we know you as we had a boy who played on the state team. I don't think we've missed 10 games since 1970. In fact, hubby got out of the hospital in Houston yesterday following surgery Thursday and he was at the game! When we do miss a game, we have people calling us to be sure all is OK at our house. I hope the newer fans of today appreciate that they are seeing history made again and it doesn't come often enough. Everyone had better enjoy what we have now. We had four great years in the 70's and its been a long ride until it is happening again. Boy, there were some old fans last night griping about giving up their season tickets and now need new tickets. We never gave ours up and won't until we die.

I'm pleased to watch these kids develop every week into a fantastic team. I enjoy watching Caleb Harmon run. He runs HARD every carry until the whistle blows. Amazing effort by all these kids. I agree; WHAT A TEAM!

It's too hard to get them back when we are winning. They can pry my season tickets out of my cold dead fingers and decide who gets them. Until then, they're mine!
