Every year the same teams remain in the playoffs it seems. Aledo I think have not lost a game in over 3 years. Lake Travis, Denton Ryan? What in the world are they feedin' those boys over there? Harder lifestyles? Superior coaching staffs? Wish I knew...I think they just really HATE losing.

I've wondered the same thing, but I think if we can hang on to our current coaching staff, we will be right up there with them really soon! Most of our coaches either came from one of those schools, or a school of that caliber. One day people will be asking "What are they feeding them boys on The Reservation?"

I look for us to continue to grow as a program. I'm not sure how things are going to work at the reservation with respect to QB's, but I do know at places like SLC when Dodge was there, they were picked at the lower levels of elementary school and the groomed from that point with Dodge working with them (think Chase Daniels @ Missouri and now of the Saints, Greg McElroy @ Alabama, Kyle Padron @SMU, Polite (sp?) @ Houston..they all started under Dodge's regime yrs ago (Wasson has been coach the past 4 and SLC has been down the past 2 years for their standards..they caught a break this year and going small school 5A). Coach Faircloth is an offensive mastermind and excellent qb coach..anyone know if we have something like this in place now at the elementary schools?

I know Peveto is a QB. Whether or not they let him move to QB or keep him on defense. He has alot of size and speed.

I don't know if they start grooming kids for certain positions in elementary school but I do know he holds a coaches clinic for the Youth Football program coaches and they are starting to implement his system. I have seen our flag football team use a simplified version of some of the same plays our Varsity team runs. I can't wait to see what happens with these kids reach Junior High!!

One thing I've noticed at all levels of high school football 2A-5A I have watched there are very few dominate kickers. In this day and age of kids playing soccer at an early age it would seem all schools would have a good kicking game. A good punter and place kicker are a major weapon, if I was coach Faircloth or any coach that is two positions I would also start grooming early!
