It would be nice if not only the players but the Band, Indianettes and Cheerleaders all did something. Maybe like his Mom and Coach Hooks on the Today Show wore a ribbon with the number 12 in the middle of it.

A most fitting article for a moment in time that has forever changed the lives of many. I do hope that the Indian Nation does something to pay respect to the Garrett family, the WOS players and coaches, etc. and their community. Perhaps the moment of silence at the beginning of the game could be in honor of Reggie Garrett.NDN06 said:found this on DCTF website... very nice article. :'(

Also both teams should have the player wearing # 12 go out alone on the field as captains for the game. The moment of silence should happen when both teams are on the field prior to the start. I like the idea of the cheerleaders wearing the ribbons. This not only affects the WOS family but all of SE Texas as well. I'm so proud of all the support that the entire area has for this tragic situation. May God bless his family and friends. I know he is with the Lord and living and playing and tossing the ball around on the streets of GOLD !

That's a very moving tribute! Maybe all the kids could do the blue ribbon - GCrew, choir, I Escorts and band?

I said "I bet they do now, and I bet Reggie's wearing that same jersey you got on, cause he LOVED the 'Horns!" Ridgewood is also letting all the kids wear hats today if they donate $1. All the money raised will go to the Reggie Garrett scholarship fund. It does my heart good to see the lil ones getting involved in remembering this fine young man. RIP #12 :'(
