2025 PN-G Indians.

I was told the new O-Line Coach was from Nederland and Dan Welch was at Nederland last year. No official announcement tho so who knows.
If those 2 attributes are that’s true then it would probably have to be former PNG player and offensive line coach Dan Welch.

He did a good job of coaching the 1999 o-line and others. Hopefully the tradition of good oline play continues.

We’ve been projected to finish second in the district, just behind Huntsville. They’re returning a strong quarterback-running back duo, both of whom hold Division I offers. We'll be going up against a lot of the top running backs in the state this year.

Tyson Henry has a shot at state recognition this season and next.

Interesting that this says Welch is at Vidor. Since this was reported back in May, did Welch move to PNG?

I just ran into Dan Welch today. I asked him to clarify where he'll be coaching. He said he had retired. But Vidor had called and he went there -- for 4 days. Then PNG called and now he's at PNG. He said it's only 3 minutes from his house as opposed to having to drive over the bridge.

I'm not sure what to think of this?

Next coach up. Hopefully there’s still a fire burning in his wheelhouse because PNG needs every coach to teach and motivate at the championship level that the team has been accustomed to. It’s not a job to come out of retirement and coast. I’m guessing Welch remembers the 1999 season and what it took to reach week 16. He can get it done. And the Indians still have offensive line coach Aaron Easley. Let’s go Indians!

OC is Collin gizzi. But I’ve heard on here or the setxsports forum that he’ll have someone attached to him this season

Dan Welch is one of the better OL coaches in SETX. Even if he only sticks around a year or two, the folks working with him (future OL coaches???) will learn a lot. Reminder he coached the PNG OLine in 1999 and they were special and he was at Vidor for a while and we all know that their OL was strong for being small. They were very sound in technique!
