2025 Preview
Coach: Dougald McDougald. Lettermen R/L: 41/0. Starters returning O/D: 11/11. 2024: 2-8/1-6 district.
Players to watch: RB/FS Smith Rollins (5-8, 155, 4.5), OL Brycen Cole (6-3, 290), WR/CB Courtney Simmons (5-9, 160, 4.6), RB/LB Toby White (6-0, 190, 4.6), CB De’Juan Kizzie (6-3, 175, 4.5), DL Adrian Geliga (6-0, 210, 4.8). Top sophomore: RB/SS Mason Evans-Pickens (5-8, 150, 4.6).
2025 notes: As expected, West Fork went through some growing pains in their first varsity season, but there were some positive signs as the Gators picked up a district win and played competitively in a few other games. With the entire team returning, expect improvement and with a few breaks, WFHS could emerge as a playoff contender. RB Rollins (553 yards, 3 TDs rushing; 69 tackles) is expected to be the featured back, operating behind an OL anchored by Cole, an all-district transfer from New Caney. RB/LB White (82 tackles, 3 sacks) and CB Kizzie (21 tackles, 2 INTs) both earned all-district honors a year ago and will be the key contributors for the defense. McDougald says a lack of size across the board is still a concern going into fall camp.
