They did credit the name of whoever provided the video. Thanks for getting their attention on that jstonedrummer. They should have mentioned your name for submitting it.
I did send the video in I believe he was giving credit to who informed him that it was Stephen Jackson’s nephew. I don’t care to receive credit just glad they recognized Daylin for a great clutch play! They did credit the name of whoever provided the video.
The Nederland QB did the same thing, until they stopped running that play for some reason. Hopefully we'll get the outside runs figured out soon.Amen. Coaches have always had to stress gap responsibility. Do YOUR job. If one man fails the play is blown. One weak link breaks the chain.
In the olden days, depending on the formation, the DE and OLB (chief or brave) on each side either had the QB, or whoever ran off tackle, and the other guy had outside containment. Merryman was allowed to gallop right around the end on a couple of plays. Linebacker crashed down. Maybe it was a stunt and another guy got held that would have covered that.
The Indians defense did do a better job of bottling up the QB and RB in the second half. Maybe they began shutting it down against Nederland too and they abandoned it.The Nederland QB did the same thing, until they stopped running that play for some reason. And how of that 10 was defensive scores?Defense only gave up 13 points in the second half after giving up 25 in the first. They played much better but our offense struggled and play calling was suspect. We only scored 10 in the second half.
What we need to start doing against these play action heavy teams is exactly what we did to Liberty Hill,IF ANYONE comes out of the back field faking like they have the ball LAY THEM OUT we gotta stop hesitating! The Indians defense did do a better job of bottling up the QB and RB in the second half. Happens at every level. NFL, NCAA, etc. It’s easy for us to sit up high and comment. No harsh criticism intended. It’s just what fans of the game do. Game action is a different deal.
Even the pros can do better and have to emphasize fundamentals every day. No relation to the 2025 PN-G Indians but just look at how bad the 2025 Dallas Cowboys defense looks with all the millionaire pros out there.

My 0.02 cents...those rankings look right to me.The DCTF official rankings are out.
This is the time of the year where they actually try to be most accurate given the data they have.
It's really just a best quess.
We are 4th after Iowa Colony.

So do what SoC does and bottle us up in the corner around the 3-5 yard line - worked every time IMOGood observations. The Indians have looked better conditioned than every team I’ve seen them play. With Henry and anyone else, even a 16-17 year old has to catch his breath now and then and let the heart and lungs replenish the oxygen. Especially after running for hundreds of yards and exerting that much effort.
The tackling is up and down. I’ve seen #5, #33, #35, #19, #32, #92 and others making some textbook tackles all year. I guess it’s situational. Bringing down a 230 pound brute can make anyone look silly at times. Pooch kick is good against a dangerous kickoff return threat. It bottles the returner up in a smaller area. We have been burned too many times by fast return guys. If you can’t kick it out the back of the EZ, kicking it high to the side between the 20 and 30 allows your tacklers to converge and also increases the chance of a botched catch. Especially if the guy is not used to catching kickoffs much. Offensive calls could definitely benefit from some plays that counter the defensive trends. If Montgomery wanted to send everyone including the outside backers, which they often did, burn them with some misdirection and run to the outside. The main problem I observed was the slow development of the runs. Henry is brilliant at finding a hole and bursting through it. But there was nothing but a wall of white and dark uniforms in front of him in the second half. And Montgomery knew what was coming. With this team and these coaches, and their ability to adjust and overcome, I like them as a top team in the state until someone stops them. There is some serious ability on this 2025 team. They’ve just yet to put together their best efforts.
Last week too
I have to take back all my negative reviews of DCTX FB coverage of PNG. All sins are forgiven. Fantastic snapshot of what makes PNG coaches, team, and Indian Nation mind set special. Never stop reaching for victory.
