Top Offensive Lines in Class 6A & 5A for 2025

Texas High’s Qua Ford might grow another inch or two before he’s out of HS
His brother was a giant (didn’t do much as a DL) seemed like a slow “motor”
That is something I’ve seen regularly happen in the “little brother” they have a stronger desire and competitiveness

But NO WAY THS’s OL should be ranked higher than ours or SOC I watched every game of theirs last year (I watch it right after PNG haha) not even close to the same OL

I'm sure there is at least one, but have we given up any sacks this year? I know for certain some TFL's on runs, but has anyone got to Bailey, I can't recall. Of course, the other side of this being Bailey does a good job of getting rid of the ball, because I know for sure he has seen pressure.

I think he was sacked by Klein Oak and La Porte.

Ahh pre-season, that's why it escapes me. Thanks. I feel like this group has done pretty well for themselves. I know many were concerned about the loss of Christian, Woods and Farris, but I think this bunch has started to gel. Not really the road pavers like in years past, but very efficient in the traps and zone schemes.

Christian is/was a 3-star , longtime starter. One of the best ever at PNG. Always tough to lose a player like that. Wolford is extremely good D1 lineman himself. Not sure that Reeves or Loftin would be considered any less capable than Woods and Farris. So it does seem like a strong oline.

For the next couple of years, I think we are out of 6'4" - 6'5" 300 lbs. OL kids. We were spoiled with Jackson Christian and Aaron Wolford. It would be nice to have another run of big kids that can go toe-to-toe, man-to-man with the likes of Texas High, SOC, Richmond Randle, and Iowa Colony. When you own the line of scrimmage, you win a lot of games and you can squeeze the clock against elite teams. PN-G perfected that gameplan 2022-2025.

Hey
They’re still growing em
As long as there are still bald spots on their legs they’re still growing (true story) told by a college baseball coach as to how he knew if the Jr/Sr in high school he was recruiting was still growing.
And seems to hold true
If they have thick hair on all parts of their legs and thighs they’re finished growing.

OL will look completely different next year. Losing 4 of the 5. Curious to see who will step up at the Tackle Positions.

If I had my choice (i don’t), I would always like to have the big guys. However, IMO other factors (technique, motivation, etc.) are nearly if not equally as important (see the mid-70’s PNG teams). Not to say it’s not desirable to have an OL that is both big AND has the other factors going for them, only to say we can still reach the top of the mountain without having the size to which we have become accustomed. We (myself included) have definitely been spoiled, but we’ll be fine as long as we have the top notch coaching staff that we currently have.

I'm sure Reeves will go LT (QB's blind side); he has played it every rep Wolford was out, while Matney backfilled at RG. Justice Allen has the length for right tackle next year, but I don't know if he has the feet to stop a speed rush off the edge. Not doubting, just haven't seen him work. Also, I'm not sure who we have had developing on JV.

Get those boys on a heavy protein nutrition plan, and strength training and cardio plans. What you don’t have in genetics can be compensated for with strength and endurance on the field. At the high school level, unless they are just elite players, size does not always translate to effectiveness.
Give me some strong, agile players like #32, and we’ll go to war.

Parker Farris was a great example of this. Not the biggest guy but an absolute bulldog.
