FINAL: PN-G Indians 63, Ennis Lions 29

I’m so excited for this game. This one feels different. It’s a combination of the fact that we’re rallying behind a new qb and the way Ennis is talking like we’re soft and going to fold without Conner. Let’s make a statement. They keep talking about their great teams from years ago - Tonight they’re going to see what it’s like to face PNG today.

Talk is cheap. Indians will do their negotiating on the field tonight. Have a feeling that Wolford, Reeves and crew are going to be in top form. Bust them up early, then relentless force throughout the game.

I have watched a lot of Ennis games now and I really think their weaknesses will fall into our strengths, I would like to think this will lead us down trails of victory.

Other than the normal warning about needing to avoid turnovers and costly penalties, the keys to this game will involve our ability to play solid defense and run the football. If we play good defense and are able to effectively run the football, they will have an extremely hard time beating us in the absence of big time mistakes on our part. However, if the defense plays below par and they are able to significantly slow down our running attack, it could be a closer game than any of us would like to see. Having said that, I think the coaches will have the team well prepared, the defense will not only play well but will step it up, and we will have a good day running the ball. If we can also have success passing the ball, especially with a bigger emphasis on short passes and screens than we have typically done this season, they will have little hope of beating us.
