2026 Bayou Bowl

It’s a Greater Houston Football Coaches Association team vs East Texas Football Coaches Association matchup. It appears that only select teams are typically included. Greater Houston area seems to extend as far east as Crosby, Barbers Hill, etc. East TX teams are teams east of Dallas and Piney Woods area it seems. So GT aka SETX teams don’t seem to be included in either area.
 
ETx was TXK (6) - Longview - Carthage - Tyler mostly one from Lufkin one from Henderson etc two Marshall
That was most of the team.
 
There is a SeTx equivalent game already. SETCA All-Star Classic. Played in June last year. East 28, West 21.
 
It was a little bit of a joke
The last play was a punt which started with a block in the back
Then at the end of the run back they called unsportsmanlike (debatable)
And there was no mention of the original flag they just went half the distance and kicked a chip shot to win by one point
I get it if you say no flag for the block in the back (it was debatable as well) but nothing to see here
It was actually a good game not calling the game a joke)
 
We have a selet team in SETX and Indians play on it. I know in 2021 2022 some of iur recievers did
