Unless the plan changes, the current bus lot across from the bus maintenance building would be the location. Plenty of room to fit a 100 yard field. The current bus maintenance building will be repurposed for athletics use. There has been mention of an expanded weight room as part of that.

Some valid concerns have been brought up with having to walk to these new buildings. But it would be no different than baseball and softball teams walking to their respective fields and the baseball\softball building. Not ideal but not uncommon for a lot of schools.

Brand new paved and covered bus parking to better protect buses. New, larger bus maintenance building with restrooms, break room and plenty of room to work on larger buses. There was mention somewhere of that being built on Merriman Street.

From what I’ve heard it will be on the land between the library and the NFCU Admin building.

Still working on the real answer. Hearing rumors but will verify first. Waiting on some school people to get a proper answer.
 
If any school board member has details that are ok and beneficial to share with the PN-G football enthusiast community regarding the planned athletic facilities and locations, please send a PM to me and I will share anonymously if desired. Or post yourself. Much appreciated.
 
That would be a disappointment. Especially if it costs the budgeted $9M to build that. Because an open-walled cover over a football field does not protect students from lightning. It may help with sun and rain, but it does not provide meaningful lightning protection, nor does it offer much comfort from freezing winds. But I have no dog in the hunt. I don’t pay taxes there. Coach Joseph knows what will work. What will be will be.

The only reason I believe the bill passed was the belief we were getting a INDOOR practice facility to assist all outdoor student activities from band to soccer,If that doesn’t happen I believe their will be some backlash from the community.I also looked intoPAs facility cost about 4.2 million we have more than double their budget I hope we can come up with something better lol
