Hearing that we will be doing spring training starting in a couple weeks with the spring game being May 12th as I was told. Ill try and get the exact date in the starting cant remember if he said April 5th or 15th for start date of practice. I will find out soon.
 
I like the stories about small OLs overcoming the odds and using speed, quick snap counts, leverage, technique, and whatever else is said about the underdog winning the line of scrimmage, but if you have paid attention over the past five years of PN-G's championship runs, it has been the size, agility, and power in the trenches that has allowed the Indians to compete with ANYONE. You don't win against SOC, FBM, Huntsville, LaPorte, Texas High, and Midolothian Hertigae with undersized OL and DL kids. You have to have size and agility at the line of scrimmage to win against the best of the best. From 2021-2025, PN-G could line up and play with anyone in the 5A and 6A levels. No one was pushing PN-G around; in fact, it was the other way around, the Indians were pushing the other teams around all over the field. In big boy football, PN-G could line up and run the ball with power...Jeff Jospeh knew that his kids on the PN-G OL could take over the game and the Indians could impose their will on the other teams. I hope we find some kids with the size and agility to contine that trend. It's fun to follow playoff football knowing your team has the size, agility, and power in the trenches to compete (and win) in any game they played. Go back and watch the second half of the SOC state title game in 2023 or last year's game at LaPorte. In those games, PN-G used strentgh and power in the trenches to take control and there was nothing SOC or LaPorte could do about it.

We ll have to address those concerns with the draft and free agency.
 
We are two days into Purple and White spring football. Any updates regarding spring practice? Any future stars starting to emerge? Let's go Indians. Get bigger, stronger, faster, and tougher. GO INDIANS!
