Spring Practice

The new communication wristbands are in place. Should speed up the offense quite a bit. The offense looks to be transitioning back to RPO heavy plays.
Hope they don’t lose the I formation speed counter based plays (my name for it) I personally hate the RPO there was one guy who ran it and that’s Vince Young (and Roschon to some extent) and so everyone thought it worked but to me it’s an obstacle to moving the ball
At the same time I trust this coaching staff

They are going to have to use every advantage they can. Ashworth is the most mobile QB we’ve had since Roschon so they are going to key off that. Taking some pressure off Henry to have to run himself to death. With a smaller OL than we’ve had in 5 years we need to be faster and more agile. I’m not a huge fan of the RPO myself but if run correctly it’s hard to defend.

Blake Bost was no slouch. 4,592 yards career passing and a very good running QB.

~1000 yards and 19 TDs running the ball in 2020.

@pngfan316...THANK YOU FOR POSTING. I see several kids getting bigger, stronger, faster, and better!!! Working hard and building the foundation for next season! Thanks for finding the video and posting. GO INDIANS!!!

Any additional updates? Any young stars starting to shine? Go Indians! Get better, stay injury free!
I like the look of senior OL Hudson Bond. He’s looking strong. Junior Hunter Ansell has moved into the #1 spot at center. He’s smaller at only 190# but he’s got grit and has the heart for it. Junior Eli Smith is starting to get reps at TE and really holding his own. This could free up Junior Ledger Hansing to transition to DE which I heard he really enjoys and is already pretty solid there.
Lots of moving parts this year. Definitely won’t know anything for certain until we get to August.

Agreed Bond has been looking powerful all spring.

One summer can make a huge difference for a young player. All the more reason that dedication to improving strength and conditioning during the offseason is so important. Combined with inevitable growth, it’s a winning formula.

Also important to all of us older humans who can make huge gains in our health and fitness journey through life. Whether playing sports in your prime or just being the best you can be, It’s all about how bad you want the goal.

Set goals. Show Up. Work Hard. Repeat.

And in the case of these young PN-G Indians, reach for glory. This is your time. Go for the gold. And when done with your athletic career, keep working hard and achieve glory in life.

Hey
I was 13 for this story
(But we all hit those growth spurts at different times)
But my 13 year old baseball season ended
And I was exactly 5’2
When we had our end of season party 4 weeks later when we got our trophies

I was SIX INCHES taller (4 weeks)
From 5’2 to 5’8

If the DL is Faul and Hansing at DE's with Trevino at NT that will be very solid. OLB and secondary should be set. The two inside linebackers will be a key battle.

OL will be the key to how much of a run we can make this year.
