BASEBALL: 2026 Playoffs-Area Round- Indians win area championship series 2-3, 5-4, 15-5

Did you watch game? If so, Brenham announcers described Curtis as starting and later reported Williams as pitching. Was this correct or did they have it wrong and Williams actually started?
I’ll say
Both our pitchers looked pretty darn good

For reference
This is what I wrote down

1. Brown 2B
2. West SS
3. Ross LF
4. Curtis 3B
5. Burn.. RF (That’s what I had time to write down (Burnette?)
6. Benoit 1B (later pitched (well) and Metts came in at 1B
7. Gary DH
8. Catcher #23 (trying to think of name) (Bedo?)
9 Gholke (CF?)

Pitcher #7 Luke Williams

I think at least two of their runs were scored on passed balls, including the winning run. To the best of my knowledge those types of mistakes (as well as the others) have not been very characteristic of us this year. I hope you are right and they view it as simply getting those things “out of their system.”

C - JR Logan Asebedo
1B - SR Kooper Benoit
2B - JR Dylan Brown
SS- FR Mason West
3B - SR Eli Curtis
LF - SOPH Parker Ross
CF - SOPH Jude Gohlke
RF - SR Casen Burnham
DH - SOPH Lawsen Gary

SP - SR Luke Williams
RP - SR Kooper Benoit

Does anyone know the reason that they decided to start Luke instead of Eli Curtis are Kaiden Lunceford? Just seems like and odd decision, since Eli & Kaiden have started back to back games against Nederland & Santa Fe?

I was surprised by this as well. However, the good news is that they are both still available.

Looks like rain might be gone for game time tonight at least.
Helps to have Saturday game scheduled for the early afternoon. There is plenty of time available to allow for rain delays, as the forecast is for off and on activity. Today indeed looks like it will be clear by the evening, and I have faith that we will play well enough to get to Saturday. Go Indians!!
