    Alternative Uniforms

I don't think anyone meant any disrespect but I think the consensus is that our traditional colors are favorable to any alternatives.

Was it a classy thing to do? No. Did we dish out a heavy helping of payback? Yes. Overall, yesterday was a great day for PN-G. Our football team took Nederland down by 16 points, we had a pep rally broadcast live from the Reservation, one of our players was named "Player of the Week," and our...

It is a little ironic. ;D

I'm surprised that this hasn't been brought up yet...

Caleb Harmon was named the Army's/Big Dog 106's "Player of the Week" at the pep rally yesterday.

    Alternative Uniforms

My personal belief is that there are two colors that represent PN-G: purple, the primary color, and white, the secondary color. I don't mean to offend anyone, but the fight song doesn't start with the words "always be faithful to the purple, white, and other assorted colors." Silver, gold, black...

    PNG Pre Kickoff Intro Video??

Any chance of anyone getting the video and posting it on this site? I wouldn't mind seeing that thing again.

    Cheerleaders

Speaking of removing people from the crowd, I noticed that someone in the visitors' stands kept releasing black and gold balloons throughout the game. Someone in the band said that that's against a UIL rule. Is it?

    Last night's video was AWESOME!

    Hey Bandkid....

Ok, I'm assuming that you're talking about War Chant. As I remember, it was played when Nederland was leading 7-0 last night and Nederland had just finished playing their fight song. If you're talking about Geronimo's Fury, I think that was played before anyone had put points on the board right...

PN-G Indian Band Named KBMT 12's "Band of the Week"

Thanks to all who voted and made this possible. We were presented with a banner, which we quickly held up to show the Nederland band and followed up with by playing a loud round of Cherokee. Luckily, it wasn't the only victory us Indians had over that other school tonight.

    Looks like we were wrong....

That is absolutely true. Coach Faircloth was at last year's band banquet and the Spring Concert that immediately followed and every coach that speaks at every pep rally always acknowledges the accomplishments of the other extra-curricular activities. These guys know how to put the "school" in...

    New Geronimo's Fury Tradition

We've reviewed just about every pop tune we know and there's always Cherokee, War Chant, and Geronimo's Fury.

    Band Video

Ok, from what I can tell, the first video is from one of last year's games (can't tell which one), the second video is from this year's Texas City game, and the third video is from the 2007 playoff game we lost at Stallworth Stadium in Baytown (I think it was against LaMarque Consolidated, not...

    New Geronimo's Fury Tradition

Mr. Wells has announced that we will begin playing Geronimo's Fury (probably because of the flood of requests) as the football team gets lined up to run through the inflatable headdress at the beginning of the game and after halftime and then, as we've always done, fly straight into Cherokee as...

    PN-G vs. LC-M

New plays? Yes. Very many? No. I think we'll see a few new plays at every game, with the most new plays coming at MCM and the Central game. I also think Faircloth is going to keep something in store for the playoffs if and when we make it. That being said, I think we're going to start seeing...

    Pecan Parade Miscommunication

In the past when this has been done, an assortment of pop tunes has been played, and it has taken a great deal of preparation. We likely will be ready next year, though.

    Pecan Parade Miscommunication

As many of you have probably seen, the advertisements for tomorrow's Pecan Parade state that the band will be playing at the pavilion at Lion's Park in Groves after the parade is over. This information is incorrect. As it turns out, there was a miscommunication between the band directors and the...

    White Out

If it's going to be done, something special has to be arranged for the band and Indianettes. We don't have white uniforms, and the only time we're allowed to wear Purple Pride shirts at games is when the weather isn't cooperating. I'm pretty sure that the Indianettes don't have white uniforms...

    Texas Country Reporter

What if we changed the subject and asked them to do a report on the atmosphere of your typical PN-G football game? Or better yet, the whole of the Indian Nation (including known spirit leaders and fans like Tip Durham, the Indian Spirit, and Indian Ken)? I don't think I've ever seen an episode...

PN-G INDIANS FOOTBALL

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever.  -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
