    Area F Marching Competition

Thanks. My outlook on the situation is that we're still in the top 13 4A bands of Area F's four regions. We arrived early to watch several of the other bands (Willis, Crosby, Friendswood, Dawson, Lumberton, and Goose Creek Memorial) perform and I was amazed by the resources and equipment some...

    PORT NECHES-GROVES vs ozen predictions

Like I said in the Lumberton threads, the Indians are on the warpath and it leads well into the playoffs. Ozen doesn't stand a chance, and I'm starting to think Central doesn't either. PN-G Indians: 33 Blowzen Kitty-Cats: 7

LAMAR U TO PLAY AT THE REZ

The last time I asked about it, the debate wasn't so much about whether we would be going or not, but rather about how the limited funds would be spent. The two options are: Take charter busses and not spend the night in San Antonio. Take school busses and spend the night in San Antonio...

    Area F Marching Competition

My understanding is that it's a logistical nightmare to allow every school to have a chance to advance every year. Personally, I think that's a bogus excuse.

PNG vs. Lumberton Game Updates: PN-G 39 Lumberton 6 - FINAL

Re: PNG vs. Lumberton Game Updates: PN-G 39 Lumberton 6 - 4Q I saw Dylan coming out for the second half from the track. He was on crutches and had a big ice pack strapped to his knee (right, I think). Hopefully, he'll make a speedy recovery. GO INDIANS!!!!!

    School Population

Really? If I remember correctly, they announced that there were 339 graduates at the ceremony last year, and I thought I heard one of the counselors saying that there were 30 or so more in this year's graduating class, but I could be wrong. My memory's not perfect.

    School Population

PN-G still has a good ways to go before being a 3A school, and each year the freshman class is slightly bigger than the previous. Our graduating class last year had about 340 kids whereas this year the graduating class is running at about 365 or 370 and the junior class has about 390 kids. I...

    Totally Impressed <<<<Geronimo's Fury>>>>>>

Maybe not on the 50, but closer to the center and a little higher up would be a good idea in my opinion. There are two problems I see with putting us on the 50 yard line: Upsetting a number of long-time season ticket holders by taking away what are arguably the best seats in the stadium...

    Totally Impressed <<<<Geronimo's Fury>>>>>>

Are you absolutely sure that the band's sound was amplified with the stadium's sound system at one time? That's not common practice (in fact, I don't think I've ever heard of a band doing that under any circumstances) and I would think that the problems with it would be catastrophic.

    Totally Impressed <<<<Geronimo's Fury>>>>>>

It has consistently been getting louder. I come out of each game a little bit more deaf. I think that, given time, you'll start to hear it from further away as the band grows and gains more brass and percussion instruments. I heard a rumor the other day that there will be a couple more tubas...

    GREAT JOB BAND

Mr. Wells announced today that the twirlers (Freshman through Varsity) brought home a total of 17 medals Saturday. Congratulations, twirlers.

    Totally Impressed <<<<Geronimo's Fury>>>>>>

This may not be a very good solution. Running a sound system (especially one as large as that of Indian Stadium) requires balance between the microphones and the speakers, something that is going to be very hard to achieve in a stadium with such loud speakers and such a large, open area. In...

    PN-G vs Lumberton Predictions

It doesn't make much sense, but then again, they're from Slumberton. Should we expect them to make sense? ;D

    PN-G vs Lumberton Predictions

I think Lumberton thought they could take it easy with Ozen and still come out on top. Needless to say, they were wrong and now they're backed into a corner and desperate. In addition, we're playing at the train station (soon to be terminal ;D) so we can expect them to be prepared. That being...
