2009 Halftime Performances
I wish y'all could've seen the crowd doing the "Tomahawk Chop" during War Chant from the field at halftime. That was a sight I'll never forget. It was almost as good as seeing the crowd clapping and singing to Cherokee during the "Marching I."- bandkid

Re: Crosby beats Nederland I was, too. It's nice to see a team that had so many difficulties come back and make it to the playoffs. Even with the injuries, Nederland has a lot to be proud of this year. -

That's correct. I don't know exactly what happened to him, but the rumor going around is that his blood sugar bottomed out. Again, that's just a rumor, but whatever happened, it was enough to get him carted to a hospital via ambulance. I don't know if he was released from the hospital or not... -

This is going to be a close one (excessive amounts of BlueBell apparently keep sports teams at their best), but I'm confident that the Indians will win, and proceed to beat Angleton the following week. Perhaps not by much, but they'll win. I have confidence in them. -
Concession stand menu?
I don't know that I'd say that. I know several kids that bring their lunch to school and I did at one time. It's often better than the alternative (at least, in my opinion). The best line to go through is the "Sweet Treats" line. It used to have only cookies, ice cream, and occasionally cake...- bandkid

She better bring a lunch when she gets to high school. They're serving you the same thing they serve us every day at lunch. Again, this food isn't exactly the cafeteria ladies' fault (at least not during lunch). There's only so much they can do with minimal funding, low-quality food, and these...- bandkid

They can say whatever they want and give dirty looks. In the end, we were given the right to use the name because of our immense respect for the it and the Honor, Pride, and Tradition that have become synonymous with it. We intend to continue using it. -

Thursday Night Pep Rally
You would be surprised... I figure that it'll be 1:30-1:45 if there's no traffic and the busses stay at a constant 70 the whole way. The problem with that is that we're lucky if we crack 65 and typically stay lower than that because we're travelling in a convoy of nine "yellow dogs," one truck...
