i really think we will repeat on a 10-0 season. i hear through the grapevine that texas city may give us a scare but other than that this is a jam-up squad of INDIANS for 2010. besides , BF has had a whole year to work with the athletes and indoctrinate his program. i believe that it was ndns79 in another post that said our program will only get better. that person could not be more right ! i am excited and ready for football to start.

i like our chances this year of repeating as district champs. with a record of
9-1 . i feel the two games we have to worry about is Nederland (kids really get fired up for this game) and central. Got to remember that last year was the first time all all the teams got to see or approach, scheme, formation etc . So the other coaches will have a counter. But i have hard press to think we will do worse that the 9wins with the returning starters that coming back. I see us making it to the title game this yeaer due to that the returners will have the drive to win at all possible ways. I am still is awe of Dunbar returning that block xtra pt by cental to tie the game!

i cant help it but with the returning starters we have coming back and the new system in place i am going to have to say another 10-0 season with a deep run in the playoffs....possibly a run at state :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:

I feel like another year to learn the offense will yield even better offensive output, and the defense will be amazing. I really feel like the Indians will play for the state championship in Dec. at Cowboys stadium. Can you say a NEW ATTENDANCE RECORD FOR A FOOTBALL GAME IN HIGH SCHOOL!!!! :woohoo:

The year we won state we were 9-0 going into the playoffs. Personally, I don't mind being beat (preseason, of course) because all the Indians need that experience also so they are pumped up for the big games. I, also, feel we have a good chance at another state championship game this year. By the way, I guess I AM a liar because I hate to lose anytime. lol

We were actually 9-1 going into the playoffs. The only lost being to South Houston.
Oops! I meant to type 9-1. Our son was a starter on defense back then and I sure remember the "junk yard dogs" of South Houston. We came back in the playoffs and beat them badly--If my memory is right we outscored them 31-6 or 7. I hope todays young athletes get to enjoy the same memories we have and continue on with the traditions.

all i can say this year is we are going to get past Brenham , the qutoe from their QB gave us fuel by saying we are not all that.. no respect for us and we came close to beating them at the end. So when we do play then i think we should all bring cow bells and ring them back home to Blue Bell country cause the milk will be sour when we finished with them! SCALP EM INDIANS! :machinegun:

I also want to beat them, but have strong feelings against fans using mechanical noisemakers. Our fans are plenty loud, way louder than other teams with their cow bells, ball bearings, etc. Indian fans don't need cow bells. They just need to stand for Cherokee and yell for our boys! No offense intended.

It would be great to stand and yell for Cherokee without getting dirty looks from other fans who might not be so loud. But we do it anyway. :woot:

I go out on a limb and predict a state championship team this year.

I agree that we should have a good team again this year. Texas Football on-line has a story today about "dark horse" teams in AAAA and mentions PN-G (link below). However, the article says we only have 3 defensive starters returning. Is that correct?

Just normal comments from a Texas football fan. It should be a great game in a great setting.
