2021

There are a lot of starters returning next year (5 Offense/8 or 9 Defense, plus 3 year kicker Tate Sandell.)

The offensive line loses leader Corey Burt but should be pretty good with Rob Rector (Jr), Bryce Loftin (Soph) and Jansen Ware (Soph) returning. Hopefully 2019 starter Dalton Dickerson can join that group. This will be a large offensive line.

Quarterback and running back are going to be a new start but Cole Crippen or Shea Adams show a lot of promise to replace Bost and the JV running back seems to be talented.

Daylon Bergeron returns as a clutch receiver at TE\HB as well as Carson Wallace and Landon Guarnere at WR.

On defense, leader Sullivan graduates but most of the other starters return including the entire defensive line, and most of the linebackers and defensive backs.

Any other thoughts on the upcoming season? Is anyone familiar with the JV team?

This looks very promising, especially on defense I knew going into this year they would be young. What's the issue with Dalton?

Don’t know if there is an issue, or what the situation is. He was a starter last season. This season he came in on a few plays, but did not play much.

Maybe someone local has more insight although we don’t need to get into any personal details. But if he is no longer on the team or maybe moved, a mention of that is still respectful of his privacy.

I hear the Indians had an outstanding FR QB - Shea Adams. Tall, mobile, and a strong arm. I'm not a local so I do not know the whole story, but the chatter from a local friend says the FR QB may be the next really good QB. Disclaimer: I have not seen the JV, SOPH, or FR teams play since the eighties. Maybe some of the locals will chime in. Seems to me, with Cole Crippen and the Shea Adams, the Indians are stacked at QB for the next four years. Do we have some talent at OL, WR, and RB? Thanks.

Go Indians. Peace.

I have actually heard the same thing about Shea, but that highlight was the first time I've seen him. Incredible arm from what I could see from that clip.

Never heard of him before today. Locals don’t talk much about the sub-varsity teams and players. May the best man win the job.

Crippen looks sharp already. I like the way he surveys the whole field and keeps those feet moving. Looks poised.

I really, really hope there is a concentrated effort to improve the defensive play going forward. 2021 should be the year of defense. Most of the starters return but they need advanced training on how to tackle and pass protect. That starts now.

Hopefully, they dont take too much from defense to fill the offense.

Any locals know who will be stepping up at RB and WR? Any underclassmen that will surprise us? If we can find a WR that gets separation and one or two running backs that can move the chains, then next year's team should be in the thick of things for a DC. There is a lot of returning talent. If the Indians can plug in a quick/fast WR that separates from DBs and some RBs, then watch out. Yep...I know...I know...we need to play good defense. :)

Go Indians. Peace.

Agree 100%. Maybe somebody coming up from JV or freshman teams are going to make a big difference. The RB that was moved up late last season looked very quick and strong.

Sounds like we will be solid on offense, defense, and special teams. If they can gel together and play as a team they might have a chance to have a pretty good run.
