Prepballfan...you are getting me fired up for the season! Here come the INDIANS!
One thing to remember is that the junior kids from Port Neches won ever game from 6-9 grades and as freshman outscored opponents 484 to 84

We’ve been doing that for the past 12 years and it hasn’t translated to the Varsity level. Big difference!!
To the contrary of that we have been winning. Yes our offense is advanced for 9th graders to stop. It's the defensive season we had that catches my eye. They had 5 shutouts that season and a couple more were a touchdown was scored on our second team. These other 9th grade teams didn't do it with defense.

With the new defensive coordinator who enforces work and tackling, things are going to change for the better at the Reservation beginning this season. The ability to play good defense has always been there. The physicality and technique has been missing. A team plays like it practices. The powder puff defense is over.

I hope you’re right!!

Powder Puff was a little harsh so I take that back. The defensive effort and results against Fort Bend Marshall versus a few other games last season was an example of how things can be different.

What I wonder about FBM was if that was more scheme by the coaches with player execution or just more scheme. I hope the former. I really hope things change on the defensive front and players start going both ways....as it is the way :)

Saw a couple of practice this week. The boys look like they are in two a days. I do see some tackling in practice. RB has nice speed once he gets out in the open. Fairly good sized kid who isn't afraid of contact. QB is pretty accurate and really does have a nice deep throw. Working out some kinks. I won't talk of plays but several new plays out there. Defense see to do well against out offense. They even blitz in practices. Any questions?
