I know we have had some discussion on here about this. With a new year and a little less than 4 months until 2 a days I thought I'd take another shot on if there is any new news on this years team. Hearing a rumor but cant verify until I get back to work from vacation. Wondering if any other news was out there? I know our amazing coaching staff will have these kiddos ready.

At least one guy has already stepped up and will likely lead the LB group with outstanding play. A good combination of agility, aggressiveness and a nose for the ball.

Tyson Henry (‘25 jr) has shown his skillset at RB. At receiver Gholke (soph in ‘25) and Benkert (jr in ‘25) looked very talented with several clutch receptions last year.

Ace Reeves (‘25 jr) is a big OL that will likely be a major talent in addition to D1 talent Aaron Wolford. Rafa Black is a huge OL who has been on the team for 2 seasons with his senior year opportunity ahead.

Several defensive backs return with experience. We’ll see how much they can improve the weak link in last years defense.

Jaxin Winfrey looks like a prototypical PnG linebacker in the mold of past greats. Kooper Benoit may be an anchor on the DL.

There are several other promising players that are not mentioned here. That would
Include members of that killer JV defense from last year. Overall there are 45+ players returning from the final playoff roster.

You can filter by class and view grades 9,10 and 11 to see who potentially returns to varsity in 2025. You can also sort by position. 45-49 is a good number but doesn’t take into consideration all the players that were not added to varsity during the playoffs.

Who are the top players from that killer JV defense that will have an impact on varsity?

I recently heard that several 2027 basketball players are coming out for spring football this year. Guys that had played middle school football but had focused on basketball in high school. Sounds like 1 has some serious potential on defense with size and speed, and the other 2 could be offensive threats. Did hear about the 2026 that is a freak in the weight room, and I’ve seen atleast one other 2026 that is a VERY large young man. Sounds like we’ve got another 2 headed monster with Tyson Henry and another young man who put up some very competitive times during track season. Curious to see who ends up at center. Also not sure about TE/H. Also hearing lots about a big shake up on our offensive playbook.
