In 2025 Brenham finished 11-2 losing 30-31 to Iowa Colony in the regionals. Brenham was successful on the strength of their Senior QB and three Senior wide receivers.
Brenham’s graduated QB threw for 2385 yds passing for 33 TDs while rushing for 421 yds and 5 TDs. Brenham's three graduated WRs accounted for 2400 yds receiving and 35 TDS.
Brenham returns RB #3 CJ Glover a 2026 junior who rushed for 1156 yds and 16 TDs while receiving 279 yds and 3 TDs. Brenham’s returning reserve 2026 Junior WR #17 N. Rau had 149 yds receiving and 1TD. Brenham’s returning reserve RB a 2026 Senior #11 T. Taylor had 148 yds rushing and 2 TDs.
In 2025 Brenham offense was 60% pass and 40% run. In Brenham’s lost to Iowa Colony they were ~80% pass and ~20% run in that regional playoff game.

2026 Offense
TE graduated
LT #72 Aaron Carlisle a Senior

RG #64 Brock Benker a Senior

QB graduated
RB #3 CH Glover a Junior
WR graduated 1335 yds rec and 22 TDs
WR graduated 824 yds rec and 9 TDs
WR graduated 221 yds rec 4TDs

Brenham’s returning offensive Tackles are very large ( think PNG #77). Expect Brenham to early on focus on the strength of their running offense as they try to rebuild their passing game. Reserve QB played sparingly in 7 games and passed for 338 yds and 4 TDs in mop up roles against weak opponents.

2026 Defense
Left DE graduated
NT #70 Job Rodriguez a Senior
Right DE #11 Ethan Aschenbeck a Senior
Right MLB graduated
Left MLB #13 Brooks Roznovsky a Senior
Left OLB graduated
Right OLB graduated
Left DB/CB #24 Rylan Lewis a Junior
Left DB/FS #5 Ledrick Walker a Senior
Right DB/CB #6 Trelyn Kelly a Senior
Right DB/SS #21 Quincy Adams a Senior

Brenham’s defense returns their entire secondary against PNG passing attack. DBs #5 and 6 each had 2 INTs. Returning MLB Roznovsky had 70 tackles 14 TFLs 4 sacks.

Expect PNG will have to rebuild the middle of their defense to stop #3 RB and force Brenham to pass. Against an experienced Brenham secondary will need a rebuilt PNG OL to make the running game go and take the secondary pressure off PNG talented WRs.

MaxPrep list Chris Guidry as a 2025 Senior on the Brenham roster so he has graduated and won’t be playing PNG in 2026. He is one of the three graduated WRs listed above. WR with 1355 yds rec and 22 TDs is #4 Chris Guidry.

off the top of my head I thought Guidry was a Sr this coming up (next) year.

Didn’t their superstar back from last year transfer or quit the team?
Yes, Jakoby Dixon was a Brenham sophomore RB in 2024 season and rushed for 2248 yds and 32 TDs while receiving 270 yds and scoring 2 TDs. At the start of the 2025 season his junior year left Brenham to play at a private school. Dixon will be a senior for the 2026 season.

Dixon transferred to John Cooper the Woodlands in the Southwest Prep 4 private league. John Cooper in 2025 finished in third place 3-2 conference record an overall season record of 7-2. Other schools in league are Kinkard, Episcopal Bellaire, St John’s Houston, St Marks Dallas, and Episcopal Dallas. MaxPrep stats show Dixon playing in 4 games and rushing 140 yds and 3 TDs? May have been hurt?
