What time is PNG holding practice?

It was reported that the PN-G varsity is practicing from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. or something similar to those times. The FR and JV will practice after school if the weather and temperature permits.

RPO QB is a very good quick instinctive runner. Throws a long arching soft pass over the receiver shoulder that is perfect for some of PNG quick receivers. Not so great for passes towards the sidelines or short over the middle. ReWatched MH playoff game again. MH defense dropped at less three potential interceptions in that game. Practice putting more zip on the short and sideline passes which may come normally with more experience/practice. PAM has some college prospect DBs among the seven returning defensive starters. PNG will need a balanced offense this year.
Could tell Conner Bailey was a baseball pitcher the way he drilled (like throwing darts) the ball to avoid interceptions.

I agree with this. Our own DBs have made more than a few opposing QBs pay for it in the past few seasons.

Several times that’s what the punt COVERAGE did
Totally unaware of where the ball is landing

More than once if the other team had one aware player they could have returned the miffed kick for a TD even the linemen

Since they did away with the illegal man downfield penalty for the punting team the punt return doesn’t exist.

Punt return risks
1. Taking 1-2 defenders out of position (PR)
Punting team is still technically on offense and can get a first down
2. Touch by any of the 11 players turnover
3. Pre punt penalty first down
4. Fumble after catch

These risks add up to

Play regular 4th and ? Defense

Many times the PR isn’t catching the ball anyway (I’m guessing 30-40%)
And then it’s a crap shoot of the ball touching a lineman’s foot etc. no one knows where the ball is except for the returner. It’s mayhem.

Once the punt leaves the foot
FIND THE BALL it may bounce toward your end zone undefended (many many times in HS)

PS im available on saturdays to introduce my Coach Usedtocould technique for modern punt return JK
BUT it would include “help” from the sidelines and end zone lingerers. The kids behind the end zone would run laterally toward the ball direction to indicate where the ball was headed
