I like playing the Montgomery teams. Quality schools, teams, stadium and fans. Splendora, not so much because it’s not a competitive matchup.

That district lineup would allow 3 pre-district games with ideally quality competition.

In that latest mock, we lose Huntsville and West Fork, and we gain Baytown Lee and Galena Park. I hope the UIL finds a way to keep Huntsville in the district. Quality opponent, nice stadium, and the Indians and Hornets had competitive games. I do like adding Baytown Lee. The Indians and Ganders have been playing since the 1970s, Stallworth Stadium is still a decent place to play, and the drive to Baytown is easy...straight shot down Interstate 10. Montgomery and Lake Creek will be tough challenges. Good programs, good facilities, and they both have talent coming back in 2026 and 2027.

I feel like they should swap the two Montgomery teams for the two New Caney teams yes less competition but that only makes sense geographically
