2026 Schedule

Three very tough non-district matchups ahead. PA Memorial and Brenham are both strong programs, and West Brook brings a dynamic dual-threat quarterback in Tam Anderson.

I'm glad to see Memorial and West Brook on the schedule. Would love to see us fill that last slot with WO-S.

I'm especially pleased to see us back in Region 3, as expected--and as it always should have been.

On a related note, when was the last time PN-G was in a seven team district? I can't recall that ever happening before.

Probably 2004. The year Josh Cook was a senior RB. We played Kilgore for the Area championship at SFA I think it was. Heavy rain. Kilgore shut down Cook and anything else we tried. Stomped us 48-0. The Indians finished the season with an 8-4 record.

Wouldn't get Brenham to the state championship since they're region 2 this go around
Dang that’s crazy,It’s makes more sense for them to be in region 2 than us but still.SOC also could be weaker this year I believe they had like 20+ seniors leaving so even with recruiting it’s hard to replace that,Argyle also got a STUD QB so that whole bracket will be CRAZY,My hot take is SOC doesn’t make it next year.

To paraphrase, Legend says ‘He needs to find some replacements for these boys leaving’. Plenty of places to look including the entire DISD and it’s 140,000 student population.

I was at that game, unfortunately. Had high hopes for that team (sigh).

That’s a good schedule - Memorial’s basically a home game, we don’t have to go to fort bend, I’ve always wanted to see the Brenham stadium, Dayton’s an easy drive, Texas city’s not bad, and we get Nederland at home

It's a great schedule. Coach Jospeh did an excellent job. Local area travel for the most part outside of the road trip to Brenham (TXC and SF are not too bad...I consider them local area). The Indians will see size, speed, elusive QBs, throwing QBs, good run games, good passing games, and fast and physical defenses. If the Indians can come out of the non-district schedule healthy, they will be well prepared to fight for a fourth straight district championship, sixth straight bi-district championship, sixth straight area championship, and fifth straight shot at a regional finals.

On a different note, does anyone know if PN-G will do spring training this year. I know some dislike spring training becasue it might interfere with baseball, but I do love me some Purple v. White spring football.

GO INDIANS!!!

They were a strong 4A team last year with some key returning players.
Hoping for PNG to meet FB Crawford in the 5AD2 Region 3 Regional finals. FB Crawford returning QB threw for over 3000 yds last year. PNG returning secondary of #3, #4, and #23 will be tested early. NT #97 with need some new help to pressure the FBC QB.

Shame that La Porte is in a nine team district and only had two preseason slots available. One is always reserved for their border rival Deer Park.
