2026 Schedule

Hoping for PNG to meet FB Crawford in the 5AD2 Region 3 Regional finals. FB Crawford returning QB threw for over 3000 yds last year. PNG returning secondary of #3, #4, and #23 will be tested early. NT #97 with need some new help to pressure the FBC QB.

Shame that La Porte is in a nine team district and only had two preseason slots available. One is always reserved for their border rival Deer Park.
Help for #97 is coming. #32, #94 and #96 all played significant minutes on the DL in 2025 (32 is a soph and 96 is a freshman).

Thoughts on the O-Line?
Reeves is a bad, bad dude. I’ve noticed more fire and intensity from him than Christian or Wolford ever played with. Enforcer type mean. He had the other team whining about his physicality after the last game.

Not familiar with the other up and coming linemen. But I’ll say it again. Reeves is the alpha and the leader of that line. And I hope he works out with the other guys throughout offseason and teaches them the tough mentality necessary to be a great lineman. Mentally intimidate the other guys by mauling them every play. It’s going to take snap to whistle quickness, aggression and execution on every play to enable the great skill players that are back next year.

Be the next great offensive line and get you one of these….

Thoughts on the O-Line?
Against Ennis and Nacogdoches in the 4th Q the second string OL was:
With #75 Ace Reeves out of game as a starter

LT #70 Justin Allen a 2025 Junior
LG #57 Kevin Paige a 2025 Junior
Ctr #68 Bryson Matney a 2025 Soph
RG #?? Missed Jersey Number
RT #78 Tristan Flores a 2025 Senior
Could see #48 Joseph Keath a 2025 Junior TE moving to left Guard similar route that #56 Chase Mets took. Need a TE’s footwork to become a good pulling guard.

Tough non district schedule, but PNG is probably favored in 3 of the 4 games. Good to get some tests in early — and I don’t hate playing the type of games that get statewide attention like PNG - PAM and PNG vs Brenham/FBC will draw. Gotta show out early. I know being ranked means very little, but if we are ranked top 10 going into district, we earned it.
