HC Langston has been coaching WB the last five years. The last two years 2025-2024 in 5AD1 and the previous three years 2023-2021 in 6A. In 5AD1 WB record is 10-10 with an average 23 PF per game and a 25 PA per game in 5AD1 district play. In WB’s prior 6A run their record was 6-24 playing against North Shore, Atascocita, and Summer Creek in district. In 6A district play for three years their Average PF per game was 15 and PA was 37.
6A WB lost to 6A North Shore in 2023 14-62, 7-56 in 2022, and 7-44 in 2021. Against 6A Atascocita WB lost 0-71 in 2023, 7-50 in 2022, and 7-37 in 2021. Against 6A Summer Creek WB lost 0-56 in 2023, 0-69 in 2022, and 33-50 in 2021.
Moving down to 5AD1 WB lost to 5AD1 PAM 14-42 in 2024, and 18-41 in 2024. Against 5AD1 Lufkin WB lost 3-29 in 2024, and 20-26 in 2025. Against Barbers Hill WB lost 17-31 in 2024 and 21-32 in 2025.
WB returns 2026 Senior QB #1 Tammeron Anderson. Early in the season QB struggled with ball security losing multiple fumbles and interceptions as he matured into the role. No season stats available on individual leaders. WB work horse RB #22 Willie Clark has graduated. WB Receiving Corp will rely on #11 Brandon Jackson a 2026 Junior.
WB 2026 strength is in the depth of their defensive line. In 2025 WB rotated seven different linemen into 4 and 3 men fronts depending on down and distance. In 2026 WB returns five of the seven down linemen.
WB returns no LB corp and only two DBs. The Defensive Downside in 2025 was in the district losses to foes Lufkin and Barbers Hill, WB had at least 4 Personal fouls in each game. 2026 team will need to exhibit improved team discipline to win close games.
