5A-D2 Regional Finals: PN-G vs Kingwood Park

Will take a miracle last at bat . Indians had their moments today. Just not on their A game. But it's not over yet...

As an observant spectator, I would like to better understand the umpire's behavior at certain times today. And also what that announcer warning/threat was about.

KP pitching was just a little bit better during THIS series IMO. We also made a few uncharacteristic errors that made things worse. In any case, I am extremely proud of those boys!!!!! They represented Indian Nation well!!!!

Great season by a bunch of great kids! Very proud of all the kids and coaches. Hold your heads high, you are one of the best eight baseball teams in 5A-DII. PN-G continues to be the home of CHAMPIONS thanks to hardworking kids and coaches. HONOR, PRIDE, and TRADITION!

GO INDIANS!

The moment of destiny was last night with Curtis on the mound. Indians had it. Just wasn’t meant to be. Great season from the Indians. You are champions. Congrats to KP. Win state now.
Bottom of the 7th, runners on the corners and 1 out with Curtis batting. I thought we were on our way to the state tournament at that point. But what a great run by one of our best ever teams!!! And many of them will be back next year for another run!!!

That was the moment amongst a few others

The controversial balk also.

I am obviously late to chime in on this thread. I have been very busy the last few weeks.

I hated seeing the boys go down, especially after such a successful season. They came out of the gates firing on all cylinders in the first game and the scoreboard reflected that. But, they looked tired late in the second game and that fatigue seemed to hang over into the third game. The scoreboard seemed to reflect that, too.

I was afraid going in it wasn't a good idea to double up the first two games on that Friday. I get that graduation was Thursday night and had to be accommodated. Still, I think the lesson learned is to double up on Saturday next time. The other team seemed to have more depth, particularly on the pitcher's mound, and I think that carried the day for them. In a situation like that, our best bet is to keep our troops as fresh as we can. This is not intended as a criticism of anyone, just a suggestion for similar situations in the future.

Congratulations to the players and coaches on a fantastic season. This year clearly brought our best overall performance since the championship run in 2017. I'm very much looking forward to continued success from the Indians' baseball program. Best of luck to Kingwood Park the rest of the way. Scalp 'em.
