Sounds like schools will be doing more travelling. Not good, not smart. D**n UIL. ;D
No more Memorial, Manvel, College Station--sounds good to me.
still got Fort Bend and the other Manvel school that just opened O0

Playing a Brazoria or Fort Bend county school in district play would be crazy. Memorial is right back at long distance travel. Why would they vote for this change?

um those would be teams to see playoff time not district lol.

And Memorial will be fine, same amount of travel as before, im gonna enjoy the new district, should be fun. As far as a vote: rather they voted for or against this was going to happen anyway. 6A split not too far away as well, now that one is gonna be real interesting.

All other district teams are Div 1.

Baytown Lee
Central

Livingston
Lumberton
Nederland
Ozen
PN-G
Vidor
So Central won't be in our district?
central is not that big of a school right now.

Central is still larger than 4 other schools in 22-5A. If they remain a 5A school why wouldn't they be in 22-5A?
Central isn't moving to D1 unless BMT does some rezoning, they'll still be with the local schools.

Yeah, their enrollment is less than Ned and barely above PNG's right now. I still think Livingston drops next time around and possibly Ozen unless BISD petitions to keep them up ( which hurts them).

The cutoff is around 1735 This splits the number in half. What's confusing everyone is the current playoff split which divides them after the fact (who's bigger than whom) new rules sets the teams from the start just like 1-2-3-4a currently. FYI college station is a lucky giant in 5A at over 3000 students because divisions and districts are set for two years. So they will be in 6A for sure next year. Not really fair though.
