5AD2 Region 1 3rd ranked Agyle QB ruled Ineligible

Could be a case of doing everything by the book, but with an intent of moving into a better football opportunity. Or it could be a case of moving short term until your kid graduates, then move back to the McMansion. Sounds like they may have the resources to live wherever they want including maintaining multiple properties. This is the dilemma with the transfer process. It’s not always going to be easy to determine intent, and even if they did move for that reason, how do you prove it? Do you take their word for it, because anyone scamming a system will say whatever they need to say, or do you make a judgement call and rule I eligibilty? Sadly, according to the Jackson Five, it only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch. The only hard stop to this is probably a rule to sit out one year of varsity eligibility. Otherwise, someone could clearly be moving to play, yet still check the boxes correctly and not be reprimanded.

This is in general a societal problem that we see in every area. Whether it’s people scamming the government for benefits, politicians obtaining power and position illegally, corporations selling out their workforce for the bottom line, or athletes positioning themselves for a better future with complete disregard of rules and impact on people who do live and play fairly. Dishonesty harms many while benefiting only a few.

To me
Two leagues
Corporate and
Home town

Make corporate able to do transfer portal
Hometown = stringent rules
Maybe not zero exceptions
Of course no one has a problem with average players
The other thing to consider is the QB that’s worked his butt off under the Argyle system only to be POOF replaced by an outsider.

The attached article describes the decline of the Houston Yates football program due to Houston City ISD adoption of open enrollment. Been around for a long time in the city of Houston. IMG_3308.png

Old stories around The glory days of Odessa Permian was that local Permian Oil Basin company executives would “recruit” employees with talented sons for employment.

It was actually the Osmond Brothers who sang "One Bad Apple." My sister bought the record and she played it all the time.

Realtor couldn’t move a 3 million dollar property. Player a junior so his Highschool career is not over.

You’ll have to excuse an old man for not knowing his 70’s teen bands. Could have been either group singing that song. The Osmonds were copying the Jackson 5’s style.

And excuse going off on a tangent.
