Mid County Madness or Bum Phillips Bowl or whatever the many other names us fans of Port Neches-Groves and Nederland call each other during this week. Its here. Its time for the greatest rilvary in the State of Texas. I am glad we have this special game.

Football as good as it gets. Better than college, better than NFL.

Cherish it. These teams, these players. This game. Not every school has such a rivalry and history that they can look back on, and look forward to.

I agree with all of the sentiments about the game...I'm ready for PN-G to start a winning streak and stretch out the W/L record in favor of the Indians. Much respect for Nederland, their players, coaches, fans, and their own rich history and traditions...all that said, it is time for the wins to swing back over to the purple and white.

Here's to an injury free game for both teams. Enjoy the game.

Go Indians. Peace.

NED is going to be playing for their 2016 football lives. NED controls its own destiny and gets into the playoffs with a win. However, we have the opportunity to beat NED and keep them out of the playoffs (assuming Livingston and Central both win on Friday). Not sure how many years its been since NED last missed the playoffs, but boy would it be something if PNG kept NED from going to the dance.

I just want the Indians to play their best game and win. There have been far too many games where the Indians had, or should have had the upper hand but failed to pull out the win because Nederland either played better or out schemed us.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Bulldogs make the playoffs. But not at the expense of us losing to them.

No predictions here. I like the Indians chances though. The match ups with Nederland are much more even than the Memorial game was.

Please, please, please, please, please win this game. Unfortunately; I see some drama in this community if we do not pull this one out for a win.

GO NDN's!

Play your game and keep grinding for the W!

Enjoy it while you can. Every dog has its day. And you know it's time for a supreme test.

6 years in a row of it being "our day " and 17 of the last 23 years. So yeah, I have enjoyed it.

Nederland lost by 30 against Memorial
PNG Lost by 5
30-5=25
So obviously PNG needs to win by 25
I don't know what any of that means? But as far as I know, it only takes (1) point to get a WIN!

Game comparisons, or past wins don't matter. But PNG does have the advantage in firepower this season. If they execute they WILL win. The past 6 games, blah, blah... don't matter.

I don't live on either side of the track. But to clarify for those operating with any deficiencies, I meant the past doesn't affect the results of this game. Different players, different matchups, different result.

Myopic arguments of my school/town is better than your school/town is pointless. Other than graduating from one or the other, not much difference. But if you want to talk overall historical body of football work, fan support and state recognition, black and gold doesn't hold a candle to the purple and white. But on Nov 8, 2016, none of that matters, unless it makes you feel lIke a 'bigdog'.
