I hope you are right. 1953 was before my time. 1955 I wasn't yet a year old. I was unable to attend either of the state championship games because I had to work. So I missed it when we won in 1975. I was at the game against Stephenville when we lost. I would like nothing better to see our Indians in a state championship game and bring home the trophy. I hope that back to back prediction starts this year. I am ready for the ride and want to be the first one at gate to get on.JB said:First, let me apologize for not updating my “Bold Prediction” thread after the thrilling victory over Central. That was the most amazing sports related event I have ever witnessed. I felt a need to compose myself as not to loss credibility with an adrenaline induced post. I feel that I am now able to make a sound and conscience comment. Congratulations to our Indians for their undefeated run!
I hope that everyone is able to see what is truly going on in our PNG community. Each week we support our team and enjoy their success right along with them. We live our lives from “Friday to Friday.” Let me assure you that there is something much larger that underlies the success that we have enjoyed this year; momentum. That underlying momentum will propel PNG to unparalleled success for many years to come.
“A NEW BOLD PREDICTION”
PNG has three state championships to its credit. (1953, 1955, and 1975) That number will be doubled in the next ten years! I believe that PNG will win at least three state championships in the next decade. Two of the state titles will come in back to back years.
Now, I know that my “New Bold Prediction” will outlast this thread, so you will just have to remember that at 11:00pm on November 14, 2009 JB believed it to be so. Get ready PNG we are about to take a wild ride.

The past several years, I could just tell from the sound of many posts on here and in talking with some PNG folks that ya'll were in the doldrums and the purple spirit was waning, not only on the football field but in the community as well..It has been a major turnaround THIS year, in all areas. ANd I beleive most of that stems from the revitalization of your football/athletic program. Coach Faircloth IMHO has performed a 180 with PNG...kudos to him and his fine staff. Having a state ranked football team with an unbeaten record (and IMO a very real chance for contending for state) sure has a way of putting smiles on folks faces ;D . It appears that the entire communities have been uplifted which has been somewhat long overdue.
As an "enemy", I still wish PNG continued success and many blessings for years to come (with my usual caveat "with the exception of MCM!!!)
Peace neighbors...
