Almeta (Fort Bend) Crawford a new potential powerhouse in Mock Region 3 District 11 replacing Randle and Iowa Colony

Almeta Crawford is a new high school in Fort Bend County entering their third season. Crawford is Moving up from 4AD1 to 5AD2 in 2026.

First year Crawford team was 5-6 in their first varsity football season. With large preseason losses to both WOS and HF. In 2024 Crawford finished fourth and lost in Bi-district to Htn Worthing 28-35.

Second year Crawford team was 12-2 in their second varsity football season in 2025. Crawford finished 1st entering the 4AD1 playoffs. In the playoffs Crawford beat Htn Worthing 50-7 in bi-district, beat Lindale 35-28 in the area round, they beat Longview Pine Tree 48-10 in the regionals round, and lost 3-30 to Kilgore in the regional finals.

Third year Crawford team in 2026 returns 4AD1 District 12 MVP Alvin Mosley (1138 yds receiving, 20 TDs). Offensive district MVP Braylon Fisher (3392 yds passing, 39 passing TDs). Defensive district MVP Camron Alakya (127 tackles, 17.5 TFLs, 7.5 sacks).

Honor Pride Tradition with Great PNG coaches and dedicated PNG players is a winning combination. Iron sharpens iron.

I just hope there are not more mega districts out there looking to cheat the system. From what I’ve surmised, the UIL will be slow to ever recognize competitive advantages gained by large metro districts that allow intra-district transfers. Texas law gives school districts local control over transfer and enrollment policies. The UIL will likely not intervene. Unless the Texas Legislature changes the law, or UIL membership formally adopts new eligibility restrictions that directly address intra-district transfer abuses, large districts who seek competitive advantages will continue to do so and small town, single school districts will have to deal with it.

Just work and prepare harder and be ready to overcome.
